At what age do you think a child is ready to go to kindergarden? What skills do you think that they should possess before enrolling? Did you, or are you, saving for your child to attend? Do you think that a child should go to preschool first? Does your child like kindergarden? What do they like about it?

My youngest child started kindergarden at the age of 4 because her birthday is in December so she was allowed to start then. My other children had to wait until they were 5. I had the option of allowing my youngest to wait one year but she was very mature for her age and, as I did with her siblings, she had already received some home schooling and knew the basics...color, letter and number recognition. She had good social skills, too, so she was ready.

I think 3 and a half years are good to start with the KG. Here the competition is veryh tuogh for the kids to get enrolled and get the admission in a good school. The kid should recognise the colours and should be smart enough to answer all the verbal questions like name of vegetables, fruits etc.
