of course there is nothing wrong with same gender. i was just saying that my best friend is boyish but not lesbian heheheh. In fact, i have more girl friends and g*y friends than guy friends.

I have a great best friend who I have known for over 30 years. What makes her my very best friend is that she is always there for me and has never been upset when I have neglected her. There was a time when I lived in another town and she wouldn't hear from me for months...until I got angry with my ex and called her or showed up at a place I knew she would be. She always greeted me with happiness and love and was nver judgemental or upset with me.

When I think of a best friend, I think of someone who's going to be there.. no matter what. A person to call every night; to complain about your problems to, to hang out with every weekend, and to pretty much treat just like family. I personally don't have a best friend, and it's probably because I se3t my standards this high. 
. But really, for the past 4 years...There hasn't really been any one of my close friends who can fit this category. I have good friends, but no "best" friends.
