My husband and I got married a week ago today (saturday the 3rd). We bought lemons for those who might want lemon with their tea. It didn't seem like many people had lemon with their tea, so today I put a few lemons in with my tea, and it's very yummy. I also put some with my water. What's the health benefits of lemon, does anyone know? Lemon with your tea? With Coke? With Pepsi? With Water? With hot tea?

Hi Somecowgirl, Great attitude dear! Whether you are making money or not at mylot, you are definitely reaping friends here. Is there more of your kind here at mylot? Please name them for me so that I can respond to all their discussions whether I have time or not. No wonder your husband fell for you, hook, line and sinker.(pun unintended. Incidently a non-tea drinker in the Asian sub continent is as rare as finding a teetotaller in the USA.

This is a good discussion, and I know it has been two weeks since we got married, and it is hard to believe it,especially since nothing feels different, since we were already living together and technically married, and we bought a lot of lemons since we did not know if anyone liked lemon in their tea or not,and yeah it seemed like not many lemons got used at the wedding, and I personally do not think lemon goes good with tea or water because it gives it too much of a sour taste, and I am not sure about the health benefits other than the fact that lemons are probably like oranges and have something in the citrus that helps your bodies nutrition,I love you with all my heart and soul, have a great day, good luck with all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

Maybe after time has passed we will feel different, and I am not a fan of lemon, but I guess I do like a little lemon in my water just enough to give it a taste but not enough to make my mouth pucker because of the sourness,I love you with all my heart and soul, have a great day, good luck with all your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting Baby.

ice tea with lemon is thebest ice tea that i've known. aside for being so delicious and refreshing, the mixture provide us essential vitamins that our body should be supplemented with. it also serve as a natural detoxifier. teh tea alone is high in calories especially when there is sugar. the lemon will serve as teh neutralizer there. i always love ice tea. cheers to that!

I do enjoy having lemon with my tea and occassionally with my water also. I know that when you drink lemon water, it is a natural diaretic, meaning that it naturally helps to get rid of extra water in the body.

I am not a tea drinker. my late husband was though. Iced tea was one of his favorite beverages. He always put lemon in his tea. He wouldn't drink it without lemon.

I think I've put too much lemon in one cup I had, or maybe it sat over night and made it taste too lemony. Lemons are good, but in moderation! lol! DO you like Lemon in anything else, or cooked with anything else? Can you cook a lemon, lol?

I can honestly say that I have never tried to cook anything with lemon. I do like lemon squeezed over my fish though. I think it gives the fish a good flavor. i also like lemon merinque pie. What are your lemon favorites?

Lemon goes well with tea I find. I prefer it to milk which most people in Britain take with hot tea. As for Coke or Pepsi, I prefer a slice of lime although lemon isn't bad either.

I don't know that I could say I've heard of milk in hot tea, of course people have been discussing it on here. I think I've tried Pepsi Lime, but it's been awhile. Welcome to Mylot!

Healthy AND Yummy are the best combinations! I drink tea more often then not on most occasions, but am trying to cut back. With added Lemon, I may not feel as guilty!

Hi SomeCowgirl! I have heard that there are a few uses for lemons. As far as health..lemons have been known to actually break up or prevent kidney stones. Something about the acid in them. They are also used as a skin lightner and for hair! You can put lemon juice on your hair and when you get out in the sun it will give you highlights where it was put..must be sure to make it even though..lol.

THERE are so many uses for lemon, even in cleaning. I've heard about the ways you've said, either on other responses or just well I don't know where I heard about the highlight effects. Yes, I agree, better to do it evenly, maybe soaking it in a bristle brush and then combing through evenly?

I will definitely take a lemon with my tea if it's available. It's usually not, though, so I'm not used to it.

At restaurants you can ask for lemon if they don't offer it. I think sometimes people forget that you can ask because it's just not something that's thought about unless you really prefer lemon all the time! lol! I haven't gotten tea at a restauraunt in a long time, but my parents in laws always have water and they're asked about lemon alot.

Hi new bride! Hope your level of happiness has gone higher. Any way you have started off well with lemon. Black tea with lemon avoids skin cancer. It is full of vitamin c. It protects you from cancer, heart ailments and skin disorders. If added in most of the foods, it helps in digestion. It kills germs and bacteria. It is a denauseating agent. It will also help your husband stay attracted to you if taken with a teaspoon of honey mixed in warm water as it will keep you as slim as you were on your marriage day. Most of your guests must have realised this and so they left it for you. There goes a story of a father and son combo of physicians on a country tour seeking patients in the country side. When they reached a village full of lemon trees, the son suggested to skip this village as nobody could be sick in a village full of lemon trees. To this the fathers rejoinder was with so many lemon trees it is a distinct possibility of people having swallowed the seeds too with the juice. The seeds are very harmful to the health and so there can be patients here. Hope to see you again with new discussions.

I think that the information you have given me is very interesting. I appreciate it. I had heard that the combination of honey and lemon mixed in water is supposed to help slim you, but am not sure how that works. I can't say I am skeptical though as I do believe that it can work, just not sure how. It's wondorous what nature's own brews can do for our health! Hope your having a wonderful day!

Oh yes, in fact it is one of my favorite drinks when I go to the coffee shop or some restaurants. It is actually quite popular at my place, iced lemon tea or hot lemon tea. I once used to drink hot lemon tea without sugar to lose some weight. It did work especially in trimming my waist and tummy. So, apart from being rich with Vitamin C, it is also very beneficial in slimming program.
