I am losing my grip

The rules of this site are pretty straightforward. One of them starts with the following: Do not - Post similar or identical postings. I broke this rule today. Such was my joy at getting a bargain that I forgot that I had posted a similar discussion earlier in the year. I apologise to myLot and to the members here. My mind is clearly going.

Pikey old chap, it is much more vexing when someone else does it, and not half as well.

It's now wonder your mind is going, you should keep more sane company of a Sunday evening if you want to be sensible on Mondays.

Where is it going? Shopping? I'm pretty sure I've been guilty of this too. And so what? 1) you can't remember everything and 2) there are new people on here who didn't see the first one It's not like you just posted the similar one yesterday. Then we might wonder about you...

It happens at times. Especially when you are excited about things.

I wouldn't worry about it. When you can wrap your own presents and still be surprised on Christmas morning...then I'd worry. Be kind to yourself.

If they enforced this rule, P1key, half the posts on the board would be wiped out! Don't worry about it. I haven't seen that post yet but a bargain is always worth crowing about!

uuummm! im sure im probably guilty of the same. in fact i've seen times when it was almost the same a few months previous. they should make allowances for us older folks that tend to forget a little (if not a lot)

It' not unnatural to post again similar discussion. I think same type of subject can be presented if the approach is different.

Yes,t he rules are very straightforward but so far I didn't see anyone banned for that rule. I think Mylot just doesn't want a lot of spam and one misstake is okey especially for people with more than 1000 posts here at mylot.

Hi P1key! Personally I wouldn't worry about it too much. I am sure if it is "caught" that the moderators or whoever watches over myLot can look back on your record of posting and see that this is not something that you normally do and that it was an honest mistake...especially coming from you! I have seen many discussions started by the same people time and time again that read almost the same each time. Those people clearly Do Know and remember as they are basically just copied and pasted, it's not the right thing to do but they do it anyway! Everyone is allowed to forget once in a while.

hellopikkefish, That's alright, probably you were enjoying so much that you didn't realized that you accidentally broke a rule. in my case, it was an accident to create a duplicate discussion because mylot was loading too slow and after i requested my friends to have the duplicate discussion deleted

Ahh..no worries we won't string you up by your toes or nothing..cause we all do it, or will end up doing it more then once probably. So take some deep breaths and relax..and congrats on the bargain you got.

Just don't let it happen again Mr Pike or I shall be forced to paddle you mercilessly with a wet switch of willow with feathery tassels at one end. We all remember what happened last time I had to take this course of action yes? (The neighbours STILL talk about it to this day and little Ahmed's panic induced blindness hasn't abated whatsoever)

I think they mean not to post them the same day in two different categories and not to copy someone else's discussion (which we know happens quite a bit around here sometimes) If it was months ago, I don't think it really matters, if you would have went back and copied what you had said word for word, there might be a problem, but in your case, I doubt it.

Hi p1ke, I shouldn't think this one mistake will affect you unless myLot want to be nasty, you didn't mean to make a mistake and it happens to us all, so don't worry cos I know you do, you have now apologised to myLot and everyone else so you should be alright...hugs LoLo

Hi p1key, lol! I haven't noticed that. Hugs. Tamara xxx
