I have a question for the ladies of myLot on the topic of body lotions and I am a male in my 40's with severe dry skin and I regularly use lotions such as Olay Quench, Dove CreamOil lotion, Johnson's SoftLotion, and just about every other major brand in the US market that my wife buys. Some work better than others, but the question is why advertising is not aimed at men as well about a lotion's effectiveness. All the ads I see on TV and in print are aimed at women. I am just curious if lotions especially Olay Quench are not suitable for use by men. Any replies, please.

Hi, mrdos Women are just their target market because not many men are keen on taking care of their skin. Some men might think it "soft" if they put on lotion. But I think, it is good for men to take care of their skin as well. In fact, I felt proud reading your post . It's nice to know that there are men who does not think it makes them less of a man if they take care of themselves. My husband has not considered applying lotion yet. He said it feels greasy. But he does put on night cream and, honestly, his facial skin looks a lot better. It helps being clean looking when dealing with clients. I think it's ok for you to use whatever your wife is using as long as you have no allergic reaction to it. Try applying it immediately after a shower. Have a nice day!

Simple answer! Women can do anything for maintaining their beauty. Second, women are double than men in this world. So it is law of economics that consider best user of your product. So companies published adds in media or start compaings taking women as best consumer. Am I right?

but are lotions such as Olay suitable for men, as I use it, but if it is a woman's lotion, I will need to try something else.
