Psychologists talk about "defense mechanisms" or protect of "defend" ourselves. Yeah, most defense mechanisms are fairly unconscious - that means that most of us don't realize we're using them in the moment. But did you know what is the defense mechanisms of a BABY? Before you know it, you are struck with it and you cannot help but in no time you are under it's spell! hehehe please look at the picture right, or below...analyze what is the baby's defense mechanism... I think the very effective baby's defense mechanisms is It's CUTENESS!!! I if you see the baby are you move to say...hello cutie, cutie, cutie, huu huu huu, cutie, cutie, how are you? Then you are under it's spell and you are move not to hurt the baby but to love and take good care of it.. Am I right? Do you agree with me? Common please don't hurt the baby, please, please, hehhehe What do you think the other defense mechanisms of the baby's?

I believe that you are absolutely right in the fact that babies use their cuteness as their defence mechanism. They are just made that way I think nature planned it so that they may be taken care of and cuddled and held so that their basic needs for affection, attention and parenting are satisfied.

Anyways, I believe the cuteness of the babies is not just the "nature planned it" but I believe that their is a designer, a creator God that made it that way "defense mechanism" so that babies is being cared, cherish and etc. Thanks for your comment.

hi jlumakang oh that is so cute, yes I do think that their very cuteness and sweetness make us all want to 'love and take good care of them. I sure would never' want to hurt a cute little baby and we are all under their spell and I think that is a very good thing too.

Ok mam I think you have so many many cute babies from your clan! From your grand daughters from 2nd,3rd,4th generations. I guess you are very familiar of the cuteness and sweetness of the babies and how they are unconsciously using the defense mechanism that God put it to them.

You do have a point. Although this could also be considered a bad thing as well. Very many people would like to have cute babies and cute and pretty babies are high on the black market. It would be a blessing but you would have to be very careful and very alert of who is around your child.

I don't know about cuteness...as i have seen some pretty ugly babies in my day (not that we are allowed to say that!...even if the baby looks like a shaved monkey, we are still obligater for some reason to inform the parents that it is the cutest baby we have ever seen!)...but a baby's smallness and fragility could be a defense mechanism.....or maybe it is just that no one in their right mind could ever think to hurt something that can't defend itself.... that particular picture is of a cute baby though

You are correct, the smallness and fragility is one of the defense mechanism of the baby. Oh really? you've seen some pretty ugly babies? Are you serious? Can you explain to us further? I mean the baby should be in someway more cute than adults. Adults are not cute anymore sometimes they are a annoyance to some of us.
