If you are an air miles collector, have you even tried to redeem your points? Is it hard to redeem them and does it take a long time to go through the process? Are there any fees to process the redemption. I would call them and ask this but every time I call, I am on hold for a long time and I don't want to use up all my cell minutes on hold!

I have not redeemed mine yet. We were planning to use them for a trip to Europe, but my husband condition got worse. I still have them and was thinking of getting an Ipod but now the Ipod's capacity has been upgraded, and besides i want to get an Macpro lap top computer before then so that will have to wait. I do not know if there are any fees, and I would consider that you could redeem them over the computer or mail in a form to Air miles requesting their redemption. You can also go to their web page and enter your id number and what you want to redeem.

In my last job I flew a lot, as mentioned above it's a crap shoot trying to redeem these miles you earn! I opted for points tied in with my hotel stays! This proved to me, the best way to go! I got a nice digital camera, a mountain bike, and some nice camping equipment! these were all shipped for free and things I never had to pay for but always wanted!

I have never wanted to collect air miles. The airlines keep changing the rules and the values of the points and then they black out the most popular travel times or set other restrictions on their "valued" customers!
I have a choice on my charge card between several things, including air miles, and cash and I chose cash.
