I like to send text messeges because sometimes I'm in a quiet place such as a doctors office and its a good way to carry on a conversation without being loud and bothering other people. Just a few days ago I was sick and I lost my voice, lets just say that I was sending a lot of text messeges during that time. It is very conveinient to have texting on cell phones.

Different people might have different communication needs. I personally don't like text messages myself but I do use them for work purposes. My girl friend sometimes text messages me & also some friends of mine text messages more than they call so I do keep it around. At times, it is convinient because I can't answer the phone while I'm in the meeting or driving.

I feel that texting is much more private as suppose you are out somewhere and you get a phone call. You certainly don't want everyone hearing what you are saying, so with text messageing, no one else would see it except the one you are texting. It also helps when there is background noise as phone calls are hard to hear when there is noise all around. My daughter and I text almost everyday. She lives in a house with a lot of people, so she wants her privacy, so texting is the best way to go. I am the only one here, and either one is okay, but I do like texting much better. Take care, and happy mylotting.
