Ladies, do you take long showers? If you do, does your shower head have a water filtering system? You could be endangering your health, by allowing water impurities into the pores of your chest. Do you have a water filter on your shower head?

Hi artistry, I have absolutely no idea if my shower head has a water filtering system but as it's Greek I can't imagine it does. I do run it though before I get in. My man did say something the other week about bringing me a new shower head but that was because it was spraying a bit out of the sides. I must remind him and see if he can get me one with a water filtering system built in as he can get that sort of thing at cost. It sounds like a good idea as quite often the water has hardly any presure so who knows what could be building up inside there as it runs at a trickle.

Here the water can be excellent, when it actually flows of course, as we have local spring water from the mountains on tap, accessible throughout the villages, and used to replenish bottles for drinking water at home. However the children at school have now been told they must never drink from the taps until they have run for a while due to the dangers of bacteria possibly gathering in the tap area.

.....Hi thea09, Thanks for your comment, how great is that, to be able to purchase at cost. If you remember, tell all the female members of your family and friends about the shower head. The shower head you have probably does not have a filter. I just ordered a new counter top filter system for the kitchen. The drinking water is horrible here. Take care.

Chest? What about my head and legs and feet? My feet are in the water more than anything... Yes, I have a shower filter but I don't stay in the shower long anyway. I have a filter to keep from breathing the chlorine gas.

I saw something about this on "The Doctor Oz show a while back. You should change the shower head every so often (I forget how often).because it gets bacteria in it. He also said that running the shower a few minutes before getting into it would help get the bacteria out of the shower head and out of the air. Those bacteria can be deadly for some people with breathing problems.

...Hi doormouse, You make me laugh out loud :o). But you should take this seriously, at least call your nearest American Cancer Society 800 number for literature, or research it on the net. It could make a difference, in the future. I don't know what is wrong with you, but I hope you will get better very soon. Take care of yourself.

Most of the time I do not take a long shower. I wash my hair and then my body and let the water rinse me off for a little bit then I get out. I do not think the shower head I have has a filter in it.
