After trying off and on for nearly three years, I found out yesterday that I'm pregnant with my first baby. My husband and I are so excited. It's the scariest and altogether most exciting thing that's happened in my life. What were or are some of your experiences with pregnancy?

Congratulations! Do you know when your due date is?
It took my husband and I about 4 years before I became pregnant with our oldest child. And another 2+ years after that to become pregnant again. But both were pretty easy considering. And best of all I never had any morning sickness.
Congrats again! Happy mylotting!

Thank you so much! I can honestly say that I feel more content and at peace now than I have in a long time. It feels like it was meant to be right now. My family has been going through a lot lately, and I feel my family needed this. Something to look forward to, you know?

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I know that you are your husband must be delighted. Early pregnancy is a time where the baby is doing much growing and developing. Feeling tired, going to the restroom often, having a metal like taste in the mouth and feeling sick are some symptoms of that stage of pregnancy that I remember. I loved the butterfly like kicks my babies have given me and the later donkey like kicks. My baby girl was born in June 2009. I have had three home births. Good luck with having a happy and healthy pregnancy.

flight84 oh that was the best time of my life when I was
pregnant with my first baby, scared and excited but I loved
every minute even the labor pains as I knew it would all be
worth it to see this little person come into our lives
and it was worth it. I loved watching my little boy grow
and change through the baby years. and now looking at the
great man he has become I am still very proud of him. I lost
our second child when she was eight so our son was doubly
precious to us both.

Congrats to you and hubby, Flight, on the soon to be new addition. Anything worth having is worth waiting for, and your new arrival will be no exception.
Pregnancy is different for many people, but mine was a breeze with no problems at all. Well, except for running to the loo every five seconds - LOL
Great timing for a new baby too, early summer.

Congrats on the news and I can remember when I was pregnant with my son I had to go threw the winter time with my pregnancy and he was suppposed to be born on the 31 of december but I fell and they had to induce my labor so he was born on the 29 of december and then I had news I was pregnant with my daughter and when it got close to the end of time and my water broke and I did not know what to do so I called my sisternlaw at the time and I went to the hospital and was in labor for 6 hours and I decided then and there thats the end of me having babies so all that I got to say to you is I hope you can also tolerate some pain and have fun they are a joy.

Hello Flight. Congratulations on your being pregnant after trying off and on for nearly three years. Well, the same case happened to my sister-in-law, who tried to get pregnant for three years after their marriage and finally they made it and gave birth to a healthy baby boy, who is now one year old.
It is true that it is very exciting to get pregnant especially when you have the desire to get a baby. I wish you all the best, my dear flight.
