I've read awhile ago that green leafy vegetables like lettuce is among the top 10 risky foods, according to a study conducted by a nutritious advocacy group. lettuce, if improperly washed could contain E.coli or salmonella. cabbage and spinach too. gez, and you actually thought you're safe by eating green leafy vegetables. think again..

this is because they are often eaten raw. if you do this you need to wash them thoroughly. the other food that is surprisingly risky is cooked rice - don't keep it lying around because it can be as dangerous as old prawns. best to eat it as soon after cooking as possible.
