Metro TV vs TV One

In Indonesia, at first there is only one television channel which dedicate it self to the news. The Channel name is metro tv. For some time it is the leading channel of many information in a form of news.
But lately, especially at the election, another channel is try to prove it self as a worthy oppenent for metro tv. The Name of the Channel is TV One.
The two television channel that focus on news is now head to head to become the most popular news channel in indonesia. Even lately, the competition between them become hotter because the owner of Metro TV, Surya Paloh, And Abdul Rizal Bakri from tv one, is competing too for a leader for one of the big party in indonesia, golkar.
What do you think about these two television channel. Which do you think is the best. For me, i think Metro TV still are the best News Channel in Indonesia. But TV One is becoming better and better everyday. If tv one can train their report and their news reader more, also if they have more variety in news program, i think sooner or later they will beat metro tv.

wow, i didn't know that our 2 news television channel are owned by that two person each one. well, before i know that, i think metro tv are the winner. metro looks much professional than tv one. tv one may tell us news much faster than metro but they seem quite careless. i remember when they keep telling that the person that densus 88 trying to catch in temanggung are noordin, while metro or other more careful by not saying the name but "suspect as noordin". but i agree that they getting better everyday.
i see some different between that's two channel, i think metro tv targeted to more professional watcher while tvone targeted common people, more down to earth, lebih merakyat (sory, find it hard to say it in english)..

Yes, and now the result of the Golkar leader is already out. Abdul Rizal Bakrie defeat Suryo Paloh, and become the leader of Golkar Party. But the war between Metro TV and TV one will sure to continue. I Like metro tv have a new competitor, because now it will try it best to improve more and more.

iam sorry to late read this response. Surya Paloh is defeated by Aburizal Bakrie and it`s natural when Aburizal Bakrie didnt want his competitor give contribute in Golkar when he is still a chief. the comptetion between two person is involved the two media too. amazing. but i hope the media is still independent and dont involvd too deeply in this competition.

Yes, although i see the media actually support a certain candidate, they still actually able to control it so it is still in a limit where people still understand it. Anyway the fight between them is over and i hope ical can lead Golkar to be a better party and TV One as a better media. Thanks.

I like Metrotv. They have a good programs, especialy new programs.Whereas for tvone, I did not have an opinion. I live in the suburbs so i do not get a signal from tvone. I can not judge tvone if I never watched it.

OO I see. Too bad you cant see TV One because they to have a nice news program. Althought i think some of TV One news program is loss a lil in term of quality from Metro TV, but it still nice to watch them, especially if metro tv showing a program that you dont really like.

Metro TV was incumbent news channel..alomost alone in the noble niche but not without flaws They are clearly doing better than before..TV one just arrvied some two years back i think .. Probably better than any other news channel ..

Yes TV one and Metro TV is like senior fighting a junior. Senior usually have the most advantage because he have the advantage of more time in the field, while the junior is still learning, but the junior also have the advantage of example from the senior. Well, we just hope the senior ( metro tv ) and the junior ( tv one ) will have a fair competition, and we, the viewer is the most people whose gain the most advantage.

Yes, it some thing that happen often when a competitor "steal" your employee. It is not happened only on television bussiness but almost on every bussiness. But, a person with great achievement in one company doesnt garantty they do the same in other. There are many factor like company culture, working together spirit, facility, company network, etc. But off course this is one of many step that tv one will do in order to become a worthy oppenent of metro tv.

Yes Metro TV for now is the best news channel in Indonesia. But, with TV ONE watching his every move, it cannot be relax because TV ONE can almost make a move that turn the tide of position. Metro TV couldn't even make a slightest mistake that will make tv one become it's superior at the best news channel in Indonesia.

Hi.Yes,I have felt that metro TV and TV one are very compete now.I think,tv one more fresh then metro tv but for few days especially for earhquake news,TV one was to dramatize the news.I don't like it.And as new comer news television,they to arrogant.look how they told about they first TV that report about earthquake at Sumbar.

Yes, the competing getting hotter and hotter. I think the first round is the election news. The 2nd one is the bomb in JW Marriot. Not is the 3rd duel between them. TV One tell people that they the first tv that report the earth quake in sumbar as an aswerr from metro tv clain, that saying they the first tv whose report thing that happened in Padang Pariaman.
Well either way, i dont like how they make other people hardship to their own glory. It just simply a sad thing to do.
