The ACLU is challenging the legality of a 6-7 foot cross in the Mojave Desert that honors our veterans. They say it violates the constitution:

Haven't they done enough already? They've emptied and shut down mental health institutions so now we have millions of homeless, mentally ill people on our streets. This is just one of the inhumane and unjust cases that they've won. Now they are claiming the cross violates the separation of church and state.
A direct quote from our Constitution: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;"
Isn't the ACLU requiring a law against the free expression of religion? The cross is on Federal land--that's OUR LAND!! They have been fighting to ban Christianity for decades, in my opinion.
What is your opinion of this lawsuit?

What gets me is that they ONLY target Christians! They don't care that Jehovah's Witnesses are going door to door bothering people or that the Muslim call to worship is broadcast across a city 5 times a day. They won't leave us alone and we are being persecuted as they twist the Constitution to fit their own agenda. They are even hoping to remove the crosses from Arlington Cemetery!

Hatley, I think the American people have had just about enough of this crap. What with the taxes, the bailouts and all the corruption in DC coming to light, we are rebelling and becoming a force to be reckoned with. It might take the crosses at Arlington being removed but eventually the people will rise up and take back the country.
Personally, I don't think they'll be able to remove more than a couple crosses at Arlington before they are confronted by a very determined group of patriots that will stop it right there, right then.

Where's the ( holding ones head in your hands )emote when you need it? It's a memorial to honor our veterans...Leave it be! To the government officials involved, REMEMBER THIS & DON'T USE A CROSS NEXT TIME. A nice statue of a soldier would have worked just as well if not better & the ACLU & other anti-religion fanatics wouldn't have a darn thing to say about it.

I heard that the Feds gave that acre of land to a private owner so the cross could be kept but the ACLU is continuing the fight.
They are really ramping up the assault on Christianity. After the Christians are beaten down, they'll start going after the Catholics, the Jews and even the Muslims.
I don't see why a cross in the middle of a desert is so important to anyone but veterans' families and descendants. I'm convinced that the ACLU is evil.
