I thought about this while I was answerimg replies to my "swine flu parties?" discussion, that a parent could be opening themselves up to an accusation of child abuse. We know that the flu making the rounds right now is potentially deadly. Especially to kids and older people. Think about the message that you are giving to your children, by doing something so stupid as to expose them to a pandemic? You say that you love them and then with those actions you are saying to your child. I don't want to be inconvenienced this winter with you having the swine flu, so I am going to expose you to a potentially deadly disease so you don't inconvenience me by getting sick unexpectedly. These people are obviously thinking with their vacation days!
