Indian bank charges you 8 rupees and paypal charges you 50 rupees for transferring the funds to a local indian bank..i also have account in indian bank and it usually takes 3 days to complete the transferring process. It nice to see when you update your IB bank passbook and the sender name is displayed 'PAYPAL' over the transaction.

I think you need to verify your bank account and other details to PayPal before it. I was telling about the service called Xoom. If I am right I think Anurag is telling about that. according to Xoom, they transfer money within few hours to any bank all over India.

Yes..there was some initial measures like adding bank account, send your address proof, identity proof etc to paypal before transferring the funds to your local bank account and I've done all this one year ago..

Yes, I transfer my account from paypal to Indian bank. I always wait for the $160 mark to be reached so that i can evade the Rs.50 and yes the transaction fee is Rs.8 in Indian Bank.

I am a member of that, but I have not transferred yet. They charge around 10$ if you want to transfer directly to any bank account in India. All the banks are in their list, alternatively check is also sent by courier service to your convenient destination.
