Winter (BLAH) / myLot

Hi friends, I am one of those people who has the SAD disorder. Weather really affects me very badly. I also have Fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis, so there is a great deal of pain involved. I love the other three seasons, although Fall is a little rough because of the temperature change. All the other seasons are beautiful. The smell of the first spring day. The wonderful warmth on your skin when you can take off those sweaters for the summer. But winter... there is nothing I like about winter. Some people say it is pretty. I don't find that. I find winter a very frustrating time. You get stuck in the snow and driving is just a nightmare. It is soooooo cold. Then there's the added bonus of the worry of Christmas... don't get me wrong, I love Christmas but you have to admit, it does add quite a worry to your plate. How about you. What do you think of winter. Can you stand the thought of another one? Cheryl

Oh I'm with you I also hate almost everything about winter. I can tell you I love hot chocolate and snow covered trees thats it. I hate the bitter cold, the wind, the snow, I hate the heating bills. Its just a very depressing time of year for me. This is why I can't wait to sell my house and move to Puerto Rico. There I won't have a heating bill, snow, or have to deal with the bitter cold and wind.

i love winter, the snow covering everything, the feeling of stay in bed covered by warm and soft blankets, when the sky is covered by clouds winter is fantastic, i like fall too, colored trees, a cold wind blowing, a little grey sky. i love it.

Hi Cheryl, I'm so with you on this issue! It's the very reason why we want to move to the northern parts of Arizona because of the lack of winter snow and the temperatures don't drop dramatically like it does in most places. And the humidity, is very low there but I do love my tall trees so that's why we say the northern area instead of being near the cities of the state. Florida has water on both sides so the humidity has to be an all time high so that idea is out. Maybe one day we'll actually do it and move there, maybe you will too? Maybe we can meet up there, what do you say? LOL

I too hate the cold weather unless I have the right gear - I do like the snow for sledding in but, to be honest there is nothing I like more in this world than seeing the sun come out, feel the warmth and just be able to sit in the sun in my garden! Pure bliss! x
