Phishing scams are situations created by identity thieves where they pretend to already know some information about you in order to gain access to your personal information. For example, Scammers send a mass email to every address they can find and the message will appear to come from a bank or financial institution. Once you open the links in the E-mail, you will miss lots of valuable information. So, could give me some tips about prevent phishing scams? Why some people would be cheated by a phishing scam? Happy myLotting.

What I meant by powerful anti-virus is a good antivirus. There are two types or categories of anti-virus, 'internet security' & anti-virus. So try to get an internet security anti virus. You can try Kaspersky which is good one to have. It protects you from all sorts of threats including spam mails. You can check if your anti-virus has an anti-phishing facility. While buying a new one, you can ask your dealer to give one with all these facilities. Still Kaspersky is the best according to me.
