Where browser does keeps temporary surfing data

Its always a big question to me that where internet browsers does keeps data temporarily while we surf websites. My main question related to some video file/flash contents, when I open some sites those sites opens very slow at first instance and later from second instance onwards they load very fast. Means some where the browsers stores data. Please share your idea where exactly they resides and it may vary between browser to browser also. Please share with us.

all temporary internet files are stored in this location example: C:\Document and Settings\user\local settings\temporary internet files. LOCAL SETTINGS folder and TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES are usually hidden so you have to unhide it first into the folders option.
