Sorry FDA, You're Reassurance on the H1N1 Flu Vaccine Doesn't Reassure...

"The H1N1 vaccine seems just as safe as the long-used regular flu vaccine, the FDA said, not a surprise as it's made the same way. Side effects include soreness or redness at the injection site, and some fever."
Need we remind Sebelius that over 30,000 Americans die every year from the Regular flu? That being true, how is this statement reassure anyone that getting the H1N1 flu vaccine is effective, or even safe? : http://www.9wsyr.com/content/family_healthcast/story/Sebelius-Govt-approves-new-swine-flu-vaccine/-VuS595p2kCrTtwpdFDRnw.cspx

It got pushed through too fast to me. I don't trust it. WHo knows what the side effects could be from it. How many times have they put something out just to find out it was not safe and THEN pull it back off the market?
"The last mass vaccination against a different swine flu, in 1976, was marred by reports of the paralyzing Guillain-Barre syndrome."
THey have really fully tested it? No. All they say is they are going to keep a close watch out for more serious side effects. Well after you have given the shot out to the masses it is a little late then if you find out it can cause a serious side effect.
The mass population is going to act as ginuea pigs again. Lets hope this ones goes well.

What makes the the government think that "they'll be watching us close" is reassuring. ;~D

At this point no one in my family or anyone I know is willing to risk getting this vaccine. I also feel that it was rushed through too quickly and that it was not tested thoroughly enough before being released to the public. I would rather not take the chance.
