Hi! my friends. Our favorite festival is very near and small kids have already started celebrating it by burning one or two crackers and bombs every evening which is an indication that our most important festival is near. Every Indian makes some plans in each Diwali like visiting relatives or buying a new car, property, cell phone, music system or any other electronics etc. Mostly people buy new stuff replacing the old ones since all products are available in Discounts at all the stores and Malls. Also the stores are open for a longer time starting one week before diwali when everyone buy new clothes, curtains etc. Also DIYAS (Lamp) using which we decorate our house on the Diwali day. So, in all this festival is everyone's favorite and is full of fun. Diwali is also known as the Festival of Light since we consider it as the auspicious day when our Great God Ram returned with his beloved wife Goddess Sita back to their home town after 14 years of exile, when the whole town was adorned with diyas of all shapes and kinds, thus Diwali came into existence. My plan this diwali is to visit my native place which I have not been able to visit for last 2 years due to my hectic college schedule. What are your plans this beautiful DIWALI 2009 ??

I will light a lamp for the well being of humanity. As a Hindu, that is what I am supposed to do first. Starts with praying for the good of all living beings, not just human beings. This year has been very bad to all of us due to various calamities, across the globe. Many have lost everything. So its time to pray for faster recovery and return happiness into their life. The Diya will show the right way to all. Tattvamasi!

Hi, You have a very noble thought. Everybody in Diwali wishes for the well being of their friends and families but you are wishing the same for whole humanity, thats very elegant thought. I respect your thought very much and I think everyone present here must ponder in same lines as yours. Wish you a very Happy Diwali! Cheers!

My diwali vacations are going to be really fun Oh my God, they've given such a short vacation and it takes time to reach my home: almost two days. Again, the exams are coming and I can't afford to go! Well, it has happened before (prev. year)... I won't complain

Wish you a very Happy and Prosperous Diwali in Advance! Cheer up! If not this year then next year, one day you will have chance to celebrate this beautiful festival with your family. Even I was not able to concentrate on any festival for past 4 years because of my hectic schedule. This year I am completely free. Have fun with your friends!
