My Maple Tree - I love this tree and fear it is a goner in a few years.

Here is a photo of my Maple Tree in my front yard. I olove this time of year as this tree gets very deep red in color. This tree is slowly dying though and I will miss it dearly when it is gone. I won't miss the raking of leaves thopugh. Hahaha! Well I get plenty leaves from neighbors trees in my yard though. Is there a law against that? Littering maybe? Have you had to rake leaves yet? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Our leaves started chaning colors mid September due to a very hot and dry month. We've had a few nights of frost so far and the rest of the week is going to be in the 20's at night so more frost and snow/rain mix due as well this weekend. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

hi from hatley that is a gorgeous tree and its too bad it may be going out on you. I miss that here as there are very few trees here that change color in the fall. I do not get to rake any leaves here, I am waited on only too ]much. takes a lot of getting used to for me.

Yeah, each wind styorm drops another branch or two from this tree. Saddens me, but, it's all part of nature taking it's course I reckon. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Maple Tree in Autumn - View from under the canopy of a maple tree as it changes colors preparing for winter in Michigan.
I don't have to rake where I'm at now - landlord responsible for all yard work but in the past I've raked millions of leaves. LOL if only I had a penny for every leaf I've raked. Lots of fun for the kids growing up though - always had to jump in the piles:) Here's my neighbor's maple tree right next to my driveway:)

I'm hoping to get more this weekend if the weather holds out - have a couple I took on my lunch break at work today still on camera. I'm looking for 5-7 'great' shots for the slideshow.

I haven't had to rake yet, but the maple out front has a bad habit of dropping bits of itself on the lawn. I just picked up a whole bunch of little branches today. I think it might be dying, too. It's still green, though.

We really only have the one large tree, an oak and where it's placed, the wind blows most of the leaves over onto the vacant lot and hill behind us, so no raking. We had to do a lot of raking at the last 2 houses though, not just leaves but spike balls. I love fall colors!

My neighborhood is tree lined and I rake until there's a couple inches of snow on the ground actually. So you can imagine how much I hate raking etc. Well most times I use a leaf blower, blowing them into a pile next to my houses foundation. I use a lot as mulch etc around the house and the garden beds. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Oh webeishere...That is beautiful. It reminds me of being a little girl at my grandparents house. They had a Maple Tree in their backyard. I think that a Maple Tree is one of the prettiest that there is. I hope to have a chance to purchase something to where I can plant a tree. Maybe some day before I get too old I will be able to do that..Great picture..Have a great day and keep smiling my friend..

Go to a local park and just pile some leaves up by hand. I did that when my family lived in apartments. My kids loved raking them by hand into piles. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I love maple trees or any of those trees that change from green leaves, through gold , orange, red and crimson. Bur why do you rake...the leaves make great mulch for your lawn.

We just leave the leaves and mow over them because we don't have a huge amount of leaves like ya'll do up north. Right now though I do think the leaves have blown away, horrible winds here and so hot.

I have so many trees around my property that I would never miss it if one or two of them weren't there anymore. I simply just have lots. There are some leaves on the ground, I was just thinking about raking a few minutes ago. I might get around to it tomorrow if I am in the mood. It sounds like a creative way to get some exercise.

Our country has a different type of season compared to yours. We do not have any winter or fall etc. We only have dry and wet season or rainy season. So the leaves of our trees does not change color. They only change color when they fall into the ground as they dry up and go brown. Well, its really fascinating to see those wonderful colors of leaves. But we do have the same share of raking. Well, at least we can do something to exercise our body. Best to you!

I admit that I am not usually the person that does the raking in our garden; that is my husband’s domain! Our season here in Australia is spring and we are waiting for greenery and flowers to blossom so we have been through our raking of leaves season. Our weather pattern has changed though because it is unusually cold for this time of year.

Helllo Grandpa Bob, Very beautiful photo of your tree. I like the color. We don't have maple trees in garden and actually I never see maple trees. I never rake leaves, my dad likes to maintain the garden, so he is the one who rakes leaves. ^^ Have a nice day.

Hello Grandpa Bob.. Maple is beautiful tree. My house is covered with lots of trees as i stay in semi forest area. I don't know some of tree names. When spring season comes all the leaves starts falling every day I have a different kind of feeling when I see those colored leaves around my house.

Maple trees are so pretty, such vibrant colors. So far I haven't had to do any raking. That will come soon. Enjoy your beauty while you can.

Grandpa Bob, I like the picture of maple tree there. It's really like so warming just seeing that picture. We don't have maple tree here, especially the one with deep red color. So, it's nice to see it even just from a picture.

There aren't many leaves falling yet here in southwestern Ohio. I never rake them, I run over them with the mower and they nourish my lawn. One of my neighbors rakes, though, such a lot of work! I remember how much fun it was to play in big piles of leaves when I was little.

Your Maple tree is beauatiful. I have one in my back yard. I planted it myself and it is beautiful too. It hasn't started turned colors yet, but I do see leaves falling off. I hope the colors turn as beautifull as yours, if so I will take a picture of it. The weather here is still hot some days. I am in the south.

I am sure it gets difficult to clean the courtyard, eespecially when you have a lot of trees in your garden and your neighbour's!!! hi hi but grandpa you are very lucky to live in such a place. Sad to hear that your tree is dying. Why is it so? why dont you plant a new maple tree? i have seen them only in movies and would like to see them in life oneday.
