Hello mylotters i have a question to all of you. Which are your favorite quotes? Do you apply it in your life or just like how they sound. I guess mine would be "Gutta cavat lapidem, non vi sed saepe cadendo". Translating to english it would be something like "the drop hollows out of stone not by force, but for constant falling". Though i like more how it translates to spanish, which i find hard to believe since i dont really like spanish for this kind of things and i prefer english. I dont really know why i just think spanish is more cheesy than english. I have a lot of quotes that i like but i dont remember any exactly right now. So maybe i write them down later if i remember how they go. Happy lotting to all of ya!!

No pain, No gain! I really believe in that saying. Basically, we can't earn money, if don't work. Without money, we can't eat. If we have nothing to eat, we'll die. We can't just be dependent to our parents for our whole life. We have to work hard for it and reap the fruits of our labor.

hello breinchem thnx for the reply. Yeah its true what you say, though it doesnt apply just to money issue. It could apply to studies, to love, to life in general, and there are many things where you can apply it. Neat quote by the way.

I have many quotes I love. The one on my profile here at myLot is one found in the diary of missionary Jim Elliot who was killed by Auca Indians in Ecuador. "So live, that when you come to die, you have nothing left to do, but die" Another one I like, by an unknown author, is "If there is no fruit in my life, there is no reason for my existence"

Hello cloudwatcher thank you for the respond. I have heard something about Jim Elliot, though it was a looooong time ago in social studies class, and i really dont remember whats the catch with him. Its not really relevant, but for you to know there is a soccer team named in honor of the Auca, called SD Aucas. I like the first one, i see it as he telling us to live the most as when the time to die comes, you feel you have accomplished everything. The second is like o.O ooooook if you say it so lol. Or maybe im not getting it.
