I'm about to lock myself up in a funny farm! My kids are out of control, mostly due to their father putting them up to it - telling them that if they don't listen and behave that I will give in and let them go live with him. Well, I'm about to!!! I am a 'single' mom of 5 kids, 4 boys, 1 girl, ages 15, 12, 11, 8, and girl is 4. I have a boyfriend but he works out of state...and I don't get to see him much and when I do see him, his 5 kids come along...so, well, need I say more?Anyways, my point is that I have an order of protection against my ex. He is still allowed to see the kids but he's not SUPPOSED to be allowed to show his butt and run his mouth when dropping off and picking up. Well, he does. And that order isn't worth the paper it's written on when THREE different counties won't do anything about him threatening and harassing me constantly. I'm so worn out. I'm so tired. I really just want to run far far away. I know that I can't do this...but what can I do? Cause I can't keep on like this.... I'm tired of being made to feel worthless and guilty for needing a break. I don't EVER get to be alone.....EVER!!! Everyone needs a break once in awhile, right? Am I wrong in wanting to get away from all the headache and drama? I've done everything I LEGALLY can to keep the drama from happening, yet it still is going on. I am beginning to understand why my mother is an alcoholic!!! Anyone have ANY suggestions? PLEASE HELP ME!!!

You could scare the crap out of him and let the kids go live with him! Boy would he be in the deep-end with 5 kids. And the kids will see how good they have it with you. Send them to live with him for a week and take a nice vacation for yourself. Or even a long weekend. All I have is my stepson and he is 22. When he was younger, around 15, he got picked up by the cops for the umpteenth time. They called us and told us to take our time. Then they put him in a cell. It scared the crap out of him for a few months. You could cross your fingers that your ex gets hits by a bus too.

Omg! I'm still laughing. Thank you, I really needed that! As far as letting the kids go there, no no no!! He would let one of them get killed or something. Heck, he don't even keep them for his regular visitation. He keeps them for a couple hours, brings them back...ALWAYS. He has shown up at 4 in the morning before. He's made me get up and get all the other kids up and out of bed at 5am to pick up the one he decided to keep. I try to put my foot down and tell the kids no, but he'll pull in and let them hop in anyways and flip me off as he's driving away. It's INSANE! If I didn't love this house and have so much work into it, I would move! UGH....Only 14 more years....Maybe I'll look into getting a job driving a bus tomorrow! ha ha

Do you have a local PAVE? If so you should call them and see if they can help you. It would seem that you should be able to get justice where it comes to this man.

I have no clue what PAVE is so probably not. I have talked to the victim's advocate and she says there is really nothing I can do but call the county sheriff, which i've done a million times. I've finally figured out why I have the worst luck in the world....It's because HE has it all, cuz if I did even a third of what he's done, I'd be rotting in prison for the rest of my life.

PAVE is prevention against violent encounters. They help with cases such as yours.
