I have always wanted to visit a holistic practitioner. Do you know much regarding adrenal gland failure or diseases ( such as addisons disease) and if so, has there been any treatment that has helped patients with these problems?

Firstly, you need to establish a proper treatment for it with your doctor. Then ask for his approval so that you can visit a holistic therapist and receive treatment. Some conditions shouldn't be treated with holistic therapies as well as conventional medicine. For example, if you are receiving treatment for cancer it is not a good idea to receive Aromatherapy because you can interfere with the chemotherapy (some Aromatherapy oils can actually speed up the process by which your body gets rid of things in your body so you could hinder your chemo). As with any glandular problem, I think Reflexology might be a very good option for you as it balances all your glands/hormones in your body. Discuss this with your doctor and when you visit your therapist she might want a written confirmation from your doctor that it is ok to treat you for it. Any gland problem can be very serious as hormones are produced in the glands. Hormones regulate our body functions from periods to digestion, everything. You may suffer from low blood pressure, fatigue, muscle weakness, weight loss, general ill-feeling. All these symptoms can be successfully treated with Reflexology and Aromatherapy.
