That movie portrays, what to me would be a nightmare, not being able to wake up from a bad dream....so, I guess Obama's presidency fits that scenario.

hmmm im still not really sure why he got it. someone told me it was because he's starting to meet with all these countries now. I think that's a Great thing then. Because srsly how many countries did bush travel to in his whole presidency? and obama's been in office a couple of months and has already met with SO many countries. It's good because I think a lot of the world's leaders are too stuck up to try and meet with eachother and calmly discuss problems and things. They'd rather hate eachother and not solve problems from afar. I think it's a good move to getting countries to resolve problems and become friends with the us again.

Yes, he has traveled to many countries...and sided with the radicals who want to destroy western civilazation...bowed to leaders who support terror as well. Yes, I agree...he's sure gotten around since becoming president!

yes he did do a few stupid things like bow to one of the leaders in another country. but he's new to it all and we have to give him a little break, he'll get better with it over time. plus, he's better and doing more than any other president or world leader out there is trying to do. like he wants to meet with china yet he doesn't want to meet with tibet because china hates tibet and the usa wants to get better relations with china. its bad, i know. but that's politics, u can't always do what u really want to and react on a whim, you have to think a smarter idea to get to a goal in the future. if he met with tibet china would hate us and any plan of befriending them would be gone. if we befriend china, it puts our safety in a better position, better allies, better chance to negotiate and possibly get tibet out of this problem.

Obama should get some sort of award. He certainly deserves it. But recently not much has changed.

I DO agree. Although he did do good things, it's not quite enough for a peace prize. i mean he's been in office like what? 2/3 months? people who win prizes do great things. invent cures to diseases, tons of research, great humanitarian projects, etc.

First of all the nomination had to be in within the first 2 weeks of his administration. According to some members (anoymus) of the selection committee he received the award because he talked about fighting Global Warming. Others said it was because he talked about neclear disarment. Now you get the Nobel Peace OPrice for talk and not action.

Giving him an award for something he has done seems more like a bribe to me.

he is a lucky man , though he deserves it , but he has done very little things and he is in his office only a couple of months. Now he should work hard to keep the award.

I f this nobel peace prize spurs President Obama to greater heights then there is nothing like it.If peace and nuclear disarmament result due to this policy then it is to be welcomed.President Obama has made a difference to the way of life around the world. If President Obama can use the recognition this award to help bring about world peace then this prize would have more value.

hello rohan, I read from the news too, and i hear from the news that obama feel suprise to own nobel price too, and most of people feel surpice because he just become American president for 8 months, it is too early to say he will still keep the world peace or not. But we hope so, let's wait and see.
