Stereotyping

What do mylotters think about stereotyping? I think there all groups of people out in our world. No matter what race, culture, location, or income status you come from it seems society has got a stereotype for you. Well do I have a story. About 9 months to a year ago there was a news broadcast about people living in the mountains of eastern Kentucky (Appalachians). Well this story grew alot of controversy because all the families that were syndicated in this broadcast was what they called low class, hillbilly or redneck. OK What's up with that. Everyone that was filmed either did not have running water, sit on porches of their dirt floor houses and had no teeth. Well I am sorry but I had my teeth pulled 5 years ago and I use the dentures I bought. Some were talking about how they did not have much to eat. Kentucky is a poverty state in some areas but we have very good government programs and free programs for food. There is no excuse to starve. Get on your donkey or horse you showed on tv and go sign up. I feel sorry for people when they can not pay for their medicine but then again we have problems there. you know who I really feel sorry for is people like my mom and dad who have worked all their lives, raised three children and we never starved. They are on medicare and have a supplemental insurance plan and my dad can not still afford his Parkinson's medicine of $140 with the cost of the others he has to take a month. My mom had to go off of her fibromyalgia medicine because she could not afford the $100 a month with the other cost of her medicines. Our economy is not taking care of our elderly ( the ones that have worked) and that includes the farmers. Don't get me wrong again like I discussed before 2% of our tax money goes to food stamps and 3% goes to free insurance so we are not paying that much out when they take out 15-20% out of our paychecks. But don't complain when there are programs out there. By the way we even have programs to help you with your house (renovation, building etc.
