do you feel any pressure on the social status of people?

As we have different social status in life, some are far richer than others. some are just in the middle. i can't help but feel uncomfortable to be with some people who have high social status in life. if they get to drive their own car, i don't envy them but i just feel ashamed that i don't able to drive my own car or buy one. SO i avoid any situation where i feel the difference in social status. but the last typhoon we had, the rich and poor alike were badly affected. cars of the rich people were damaged and also their houses. and so in times like this , i feel that they the rich don't feel any special or different than those who are not rich. and so it is the only time i didn't feel this pressure people put on social status. not that i am happy that they lost more expensive items than me, but how i wish that life would be that way. that every one will consider other people who of less fortunate as people who are just equal with them no matter what their status in life may be.
