Use your mobile phone for online / surf net !

Dear MyLotters,
Previously, I really do not how to surf net through my handphone. I did try to connect to the Maxis 3G internet(I am using Maxis prepaid service),but then it always prompted an error.
Until one day, I was so free and play around with my mobile, Then I saw a function "mobile internet",I was so curious and wanted to know more about it.
At last, I managed to get my mobile registered for the 3G internet service and I can online anytime with my mobile phone.
I discovered that it is very expensive to online using mobile phone in Malaysia,super expensive. I was just online for less than 5 minutes and it has taken up few ringgits away from my mobile value.Really not worthy!!
I only use my mobile to online once in a while when I am really bored.
Yesterday, I got a message from Maxis that I can registered for 1 hour internet service and only paid RM2. I did tried it once and I was able to login to facebook and checking my emails.I did tried to login to MyLot,but it was so slow in connection.
At last, my 1 hour is up and I told myself that I am not going to use my mobile to surf net again in future.
Share with me whether do you always use your mobile phone for online/surf net.Do you do it everyday ?? Is it very expensive for the charges?

My hand phone is internet enable, 3G. But I did not use this feature as it is expensive. Why pay extra when we can use free with our computers? Besides, it is slow

HI James,
I also never use handphone to surf net again...so expensive and not worthy.
So I have to resist myself to surf net only at night time as that is the time where laptop will be at home. During day time, my husband will take laptop to work.
Maybe I will consider to get a laptop of my own.

It is good to hear that you have decided not to use hand phone to surf the net. Why make telcos richer. Make ourselves richer by saving more money so that we can upgrade
our computer.

Hello shia,
I use my cell phone to check my emails if I am boring without a laptop with me, it happens when I am outside of my house or hang around at my mother in law house.
For me, I use a post paid service. I just think that anything will pre paid swrvice will come more expensive. My monthly charge for the 3G internet is about RM3-RM10, depend how often I on the #G internet. Of course it is not worth it to use too often, as it is not cheap. My hub sign up for the unlimited usage of using 3G internet via his cell phone, so he can online with his cell phone whenever he wants. He uses the internet service to check the news, online banking, email and check on my blog too.
It is true, the connection is so slow with the cell phone internet. Once in a while I will use my hub's cell phone to surf net. I tried to log in to the Facebook and it is too slow. I tried to update my blog with my hub cell phone too but fail, too SLOW!

I use my cellphone to surf the net only if i dont have internet connection. I have a prepaid sim so its more expensive to surf on the net through my mobile. But I do have the same fun but limited time only. I wanted to spend more time on the net so I enjoy more on the pc. But then again just like I said I go online on my phone when the connection of internet on my pc is busted. I open and look at my emails on my handy phone.
