The things that unite us.

Have you noticed that many people tend to concentrate on the things that divide us rather than that which unite us? They point out things like skin colour, culture, religion, the part of the world in which we live, whether we are rich, poor, or middle class. Perhaps it's time that we look instead at the things that connect us and make us all one family-the human family. A single black mother in Africa looking at the night sky sees the same stars that shine on the rich Aristocrat in London. The street child in New York City breathes the same air and by the same process as the Texas rancher or the oil tycoon. We have all been hurt and we have all cried. Each one of us knows how it feels to love someone dearly. No matter what our political views are, we all love to laugh. Regardless of how much or how little money we have, our hearts pump blood through our bodies in the same way. We all brought nothing into this world, and we will take nothing out. Not one of us knows the moment of our demise. With all this in common, it is clear we are each individual members of the same family. We are human.

Good thought! I think the point you are raising is extremely important. What I would suggest is that in spite of differences that we have we should discuss and try to sort things out within this larger framework that we are all human being. And therefore we are to respect each other.

Hi headhunter, Thank you for your comment, and we entirely agree. There is much more that unites us than separates and its time that we realize it. Blessings.

Hiya Pose, Not one Day goes by without I notice things like that. But sometimes although you and I might have the same thoughts others are different and hell bent on making differences to split People that love each other. I could go on there is so much unrest I wonder when we will actually all be one big Family like you say the Human Family with no strife and war between us.
