Philippines is lucky to have heroes

About 2 weeks ago, the Philippines(mostly National capital Region) suffered from a storm that caused a terrifying unexpected flood that killed many people and destroyed millions of properties. The image of that huge flood did not even come to my mind. They called it "sea in city". My family and my close friends(although some of them experienced flood inside their homes) are really very lucky because we were not that affected by the flood. I am very thankful because no one was hurt in my family. Thank God.. Amidst the danger, some did a very heroic act in the middle of the storm. A man who sacrificied his life just to save many children. A body guard, without any hesitation and without thinking of what will happen to him if he dive in that almost 10 feet water with current, saved a doctor. Some celebrities and also common people faced the danger just to save other people trapped in their houses. During those times, I saw how wonderful it was to be a Filipino. There is what you call "bayanihan" in tagalog. I am very proud to say that I am a Filipino. Even in dangerous events in life, there is still the selfless act of helping others even if you will sacrifice your own life.
