What is MATHEMATICS For You?

For me, I really like MATHEMATICS. I actually took up Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Mathematics. I am presently teaching mathematics in a certain public school. Some of my students are really responsive about my lessons but, I think, others are not... I don't know what's really their reasons why they hate MATHEMATICS... I think it's not all the fault of a teacher but the other students themselves... For you, can you say something about this subject? And what are your ideas to improve MATHEMATICS performance of the students?
