Do you own a cellphone/mobile phone? Can you make it through the day without it?

I for one am guilty of owning a cellphone which I carry with me wherever I go. It's my way of communicating to my friends and relatives, relaying messages, doing errands or just simply saying hello. I think I'd be a wreck if I don't have it with me although I used to remember that we never had them before. I survived then. The question I have yet to answer is however, would I survive now? What about you guys? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the post grey26. Having a mobile phone definitely has its advantages. It keeps us connected 24/7 or as Nokia would put it "Connecting people." Have a great day.

I couldn't function without mine. It's how I keep in touch with everyone. Friends who have moved away. I've had actual heart to heart texts with my daughter. lol

Hey there, sometimes I feel guilty as well just like you did. But without my cellphone I will do absolutely nothing as I make the most of it, everytime, days and nights. I put all my meeting schedules, all appointments, and everything on my mobile phone. I can't imagine how to live a day without my mobile phone. It is very very useful and handy to me. I must say that I will not survive living without my mobile phone.

Hi. I know exactly what you mean. Cellphones keep me busy when I'm bored and when it comes to schedules and appointments, I prefer to put it on my phone and have my daily reminders there. It keeps me on the go especially on a hectic schedule. Thanks for your post charlies2805.

Well i own a cell phone but i am also a teenager and never went through the era of no cellular device so i would say i absolutely can not live with out my cell phone. Every time i get in trouble and i get it taken away its like i cant even function right any more so i really don't survive.

I can live without my cell phone but I dare not to do so.This is because cellphone made things easier for me.I can check my emails even without my laptop, talk and text friends and most of all, I can call up at home anytime wherever I am.When I am bored, I can listen to music or play games on it.This is why, I can't make it through the day without it.

I have a cell phone or mobile phone as we call them in Australia and, although I usually take it with me wherever I go I case of car break downs etc I do think that I could survive without it. I don’t use a lot really; it’s more of a security thing in case I need it when I’m out on my own. I could definitely live without if I had to in fact it would be nice to know that I couldn’t be located for a while!

I own a mobile phone, but I am not glued to it. I can very well spend a day or two without it aslong as I have other ways to keep in touch with relatives or dear ones during emergency. I do not press buttons every now and then to check any messages or send any. I do not talk a lot on phone either but I cant swithc it oof. It has to be on for ever.

Okay, to start off, I have 2 phones now, one is a postpaid and the other one is prepaid. A few years back, 2 of my phones got stolen (at different times, one after another), and it was kind of difficult at first. I honestly thought I couldn't live without a phone, but I found out it actually takes time getting used to not having a phone. :) There are times that I forget I have a phone in my bag, and only get to check it once in a while :) Now that I'm having a tutorial job, I can only use my phone every time I don't have a class.

i think i still can survive without my cellphone but it would really take a lot of practice.. i have built my world around my cellphone already. i use it as a notepad, an alarm clock, my contacts are there, my fave songs and videos are all there and i can even go online on it.. i can do all those stuff individually using other gadgets but having my cellphone makes it all easier.. i am not the call or text type of person but i can't stand not aving it always beside me because i have practically grown with it and i rely on it so much.. but i am sure i can still live without it..just some practice i guess

Yup, I can survive a day without one, but let's face it, a cellphone is a must nowadays, very important but like say, I wont mind leaving my phone a home for a day or two, there's always a phone outside I can use if there's an important call to make or just call home and ask if somebody is ooking for me, also a good excuse if you don't want to get disturbed.

My mobile phone is very important to me considering that I expect a lot of calls or messages that are part of my work. That is why, I never go without it. I also check my emails using my phone when I am expecting a very important email and I do not have any internet capability or cannot find any area where I can check my email. So, I would say that indeed my cell phone is indeed a necessary for me to be effective.

cellphones are used to communicate with your friends and your loved ones. I think it has become a necessity to every people already. Especially in my country. I, too, own a cellphone but I only use it for emergency purposes and since i am too addicted to web surfing i think i can survive without a cellphone..
