scientific experts from around the world are predicting that 3 years from now, all life on earth could well come to an end. some believe that a natural phenomenon will be cause. and the religious folks are saying it'll be god himself who would press the statement to why the world end by theyear 2012. reason one: mayan calender the first to predict 2012 as the end of the world were the mayans, abloodthirsty race that were good at two things--building high sacrificing virgins. thousands of years ago they manage to calculate the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020days, only 34 seconds out. the december 21, 2012.given that they were pretty close to the mark with lunar cycle, its likely theys got that. reason two: sun storms solar experts from around the world monitoring the sun have made a strtling discovery. our sun is in a bit of strife. the energy out it's supposed to be in the middle of a period of relative stabillity. however, recent solar storms havebeen bombarding the earth wth grids and destroying satellites. this activities is predicted to get worse and calculations suggest it'll reach its.

No one knows when, but the world will end. Here are 3 possible factors: 1st: Sun (run by helium and hydrogen radiation) Once the chemicals are out, the sun explodes. 2nd: Earth (global warming, and necessities, not to mention , poisonous rice, toys and recession) 3rd: Wars and so on. Natural Catastrophes. 4th: For believers of Christianity and similar varieties: The second coming of Christ.

I'm repeating myself from an earlier response to a similar discussion about the end of the world. As a Christian, I believe in the rapture (the snatching away of the church before the tribulation period). After the seven year tribulation period, Jesus Christ will return to set up His thousand year reign on earth. Therefore, the world is not going to end in 2012.

Believing in the Rapture doesn't keep a person from dying. It just means that we believe that those who believe and have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior will be taken from earth before the tribulation period (read about this period in the Biblical book of Revelation). Christianity is not stupid and I hope you find that out before it's too late.

I would have to question how you justify having such confidence in this supposed "theory". Don't get me wrong, I'd like to stay as close to neutral as possible on every subject I discuss with others and my questioning you is in no way implying that you're wrong. I'm just curious. My 2 cents: How many times have people "calculated" that the world is coming to an end? A.D.: 992, 999, 1033, 1186, 1524, 1532, 1588, 1624, 1654, 1665, 1719, 1774, 1801, 1843, 1881, 1936, 1947, 1953, 1974, 1975, 1977, 1980, 1996, 1999, 2000 (Y2K) Also, in 2008 when Obama ran for office. In 2009, after Obama was sworn in to office, and finally, the new ETA, 3 years, 2012! What sets this doomsday "prediction" seperate from all of the hundreds of other dates that people claimed would mark the end of the world?

Scientific experts are predicting the end of the world in three years? Like who? My question is, when 2012 comes and goes, and we're still here, will you admit that you're a fool?

First I would like to correct one thing, I don't think that scientists believe that the world is going to end like that. Scientists only say that there are many possibilities. For example when you are reading my response and large meteor can strike earth and end all life n earth. This phenomenon happened and 100 million years ago and is probably going to happen soon. There is probability for everything to happen but that doesn't mean it will happen.

Actually you could say we are living on borrowed time if predictions are to be believed,Remember when the end of the world was predicted to be on 1999,and all doomsday theorist and religious zealots were so convinced that they were out in force warning or preaching repentance or what else, well maybe its been decided to be postponed 13 years by the higher powers. If the world does come to an end next decadeit will probably be some man made event right here on earth and not from outer space, did the mayan calendar really predict the end of the world in exactly the words or merely their calendar stops at that point simply because they couldnt be bothered to calculate longer since it was started so many thousands of ancient years ago, leaving that to the present generation of civilisation who can do it more accurately!

The reason people believe the end of the world will be in 2012 is because that is when the Mayan calender ends. The end of the calendar just marks the end of a certain time period aligning with astrological occurrences. Most New Age thinkers believe it will be a change in the energy of the planet. That is why there is so much unease right now in the world. As the energy start to prepare for an elevation, all the old ways of functioning are starting to crumble. Therefore, there are many people actually looking forward to this time frame. Not to mention, all of the other predicted dates the world was going to end. They seem to pop up almost every week now. There is no timeline set for the world that anyone is aware of, so there is no need to be so worried with these pinpointed dates.

you keep saying "expert scientists"...who are these expert scientists? someone that goes by the ancient mayan calender isn't really an expert scientist to me..i would love to see scientific articles that do back up your claims...rather than some self proclaimed scientist who is calculating the end of time from his window's calculator at a Starbucks lol

There are a lot of predictions since the time of Nostradamus about the end of the world. Well for me that doesn't really matter because someday everything will come to pass. There are only two questions that we should be ready to answer someday and that is how well you loved? and how often times you spread the word of God.

let me say first if it happens it happens.. it'll be god's will so we cant do anything about it.but if what you are saying is true then i think its maybe time to ask for forgiveness don't you think?! anyway no one on earth could possibly know the exact day of the so called apocalypse so don't believe what you hear. trust your god and your self.

That the end of the world as we know it is coming to an end is a plausible theory. All point to an ultimate destruction as indicated by the geological changes and moral decay. But to foretell the exact date as to when this is going to happen is impossible. So far so many predictions have failed and anyone's guess is as good as mine. have fun!

No human knows the day, week, year, month that the world will end. Only God knows when that will happen. I have read all of this and think that just because their calendar ends it don't mean that the world will end. Besides the bible says things for God is always in solar not lunar. Oh well we will all see in 2012. Gives some people things to think about we will just wait on God to decide when to come back and reclaim His kingdom.

I know some people have heard of this but they don't seem real concerned. The movie "2012" should raise more awareness. I certainly hope it's not true. I have a lot of things I want to do and I want my family to live long enough to feel like they've lived fully.
