Sorry So Late!! Finally a look at the Rest of the Crew One thing that caused me to enjoy this episode so much was not the challenges, but rather the fact we were able to take a closer look at the Galu tribe and how they operate. They are still united, but not near as united as they appeared to be up front. They were, however, united enough to vote as a team for the most part. The mouth of Galu Unfortunately for Yasmine she had to be schooled on how to play the game. And sitting around camp doing nothing is not the key to winning this game. I believe that a good balance of working around camp, being social and competing well in challenges all play into wining this game. Where’s my fish? I don’t know about you, but I would think that even if I did not have a snorkel I would venture out and try to fish. They have strings as well. But none of them seem to really care. Granted they are less than 10 days into the game so the hunger factor has not REALLY set in. That will come soon. Russell – The Black Mamba Ah the snake in it’s natural habitat. From the beginning of time the Serpent has been accustomed to deceiving those around him. But today I would like to concentrate on yet another aspect of our favorite snake. I call Russell a Black Mamba for two reasons. 1) A Black Mamba is one of the most poisonous snakes in the world. It only takes 2 drops of venom to kill a human being. The death rate is 100% if untreated. Death is usually from 10 minutes to 4 hours depending on the amount of venom injected. 2) The Black Mamba is considered the fastest snake in the world. Able to burst in speeds up to 12 miles an hour. For a 14 foot long snake to travel that fast it is nearly impossible to escape. Why does Russell fit this description? Anytime he strikes, he kills. And did you see him on the challenge? Unbelievable. I noticed it the very first challenge. He may be round in shape but he is one of the fastest fat men I have ever seen. You have to give him that. Final Four So here we are at the end of week 4 and here are my picks for the final four. The closer we get to the merge, the more I become concerned that Russell may have a chance to make it to that final 4. Unfortunately I will be removing one of my favorites because I do not think he has what it takes to make it through. Hopefully I will be wrong. Mick Ashley Dave Erik I had to remove Jaison because it is only 9 days into the game and he is already having a tough time. Not so much physically but mentally he seems broken down. Perhaps next week he will regain his composure.

With Shambo loosing one of the chickens, I truely thought she would be toast this week. First she loosed the fishing thing, then the chicken! I was happy to see more of the Galu tribe too. I actually was hoping that they would loose the chicken challenge so the other tribe could get something.

That last throw on the challenge was about as perfect as you can get. That is why I think he has a good chance of making it to the final four. He is a player that does not flaunt it. AND even when the chicken was lost he did not loose his cool. I would have been all over her for that. His compossure i nthat shows him to be level headed and if he doesn't seem to be the threat he will go further in the merge.

What was that guys name again? I thought it was funny how he was really taking his time with that last throw - and thought the tribe was about to yell at him. Funny thing is, that breathing in and taking time worked for him! He said he didn't want to brag about his being the winning shot and I think that was a smart move. Many people would come back to camp and go on and on about how they won it all for the tribe. By laying low and not saying anything, he looks more like a team player.

Oh, and does anyone think that the reason Russell choose Shambo to go was just in case they were going to switch players? Haha, that was my first thought :) He said he needed her for some reason, but I think that in the back of his head he was thinking "If there is a twist where these 2 players are switching tribes, I want to get rid of her!"

Yasmin was a lazy butt, however I think the decision to vote her off was stupid because she was doing well in challenges. They would have been better off keeping her until the merge and then letting the other team cut her off (b/c the other team already hates her!) I don't know why none of them try to do anything about food. Shambo lost the chicken, but no one cared to look for it except a few people. They don't try to fish or anything. I think they are currently spoiled and now that they lost one they might start to get what's coming to them. Russell is surprisingly good on the challenges. I guess it's not good to be that cocky unless you can deliver! Otherwise he would have been cut long ago. I think Shambo's tribe is going to start falling apart soon. Now that they lost one, they will slowly go down the tubes. The Yellow team was SOOO overjoyed to have won that I think it will bring them together as a team. And here is a question for you - why didn't someone from Foa Foa get to go spy on Galu for the day and Tribal? Last two weeks, a Galu member spied on Foa Foa, but this week they didn't even mention it? Not fair!

Good point about Yasmin. The other tribe would vote her off at the merge and she is strong in the challenges. I think that she just got on everyones nerves! Good question about tribal counsel. I wonder what they will do this week.

I will comment on your question. I found it rather strange as well that they could not send someone over to spy. It is almost like Jeff forgot. Not sure what is up with that. Galu may well be able to stick to gether as a team, but I think that a mix up is about to happen. If that is the case, who knows what will happen.

Yasmin's mouth was bound to be her undoing. Russell is dangerous, far more than I originally thought, not just in challenges, but at everything. And I have no problem swimming out into the ocean with a mask but no snorkel. Some people are silly.

Still no fish. I do not believe I have ever seen a season that they did not have fish yet. Come on guys, there is an ocean full of them. Come see the week 5 discussion. Posted today.

Hi Pastor, Well, better late than never. I really enjoyed seeing the other tribe in action. It's a shame that Shambo keeps making these mistakes for everyone to use against her. The thing they refuse to acknowledge is the reason she's making mistakes is because she's the only one trying to help do the work that noone else is bothering to do. Therefore she has a huge target on her back. I'm still not sure about Dave. I think that John might have a better chance than Dave. Russell S. is way too bossy. Because they voted him leader didn't mean he makes all the decisions. His African Queen Yasmin as he called her was playing a game she had no clue about. But Russell S lost his queen and now he is very unhappy. I think he'll be gone soon. I also like Erik for one of the four. He's strong and a fighter. Going back to Foa Foa, the Black Mamba will not last for too long either. Before Jaison gets voted out I think the idol will be exposed. I just don't think TBM can hide his betrayol ways for long. If any one will open their eyes they will see the evil in his. So final four for me are: 1. Mick 2. Eric 3. John 4. Jaison or Ashley Changes may be made later. Leenie

Sorry for the late responce. New discussion is already up for week 5 I think you are right about Yas. She needed to leave. She was WAY too far out of her element. She had the attitude and didn't seem to have the drive to win the game. Kinda the way I feel about Jaison now. He has lost his drive.

It does seem apparent that we see more of the devious side of Russel H. only when he is talking to the crew on camera...he doesn't show that side of him often with his team. And he is great in the challenges, they would be stupid to get rid of him now. But Shannon - oh, my God, I can't believe she lost that darn chicken. She isn't the brightest bulb on the planet. But I don't get it, they took her on that first challenge, Why? Are they actually seeing her as a great player. Isn't it obvious that she isn't? I agreed with Russel S on the the vote for Monica vs. Yasmin ( as much as I didn't like Yasmin); Natalie isn't a bad player at all...Russel may think she is riding on his coat tails, however, she gives it her all at the challenges. She was even better than some of the guys on those ropes. I agree with Russel S on keeping those who do well on challenges at least for the first few weeks. Laura's answer at tribel - that she was going to vote for the one who did least work around camp, is like a girlie answer..lol...The guys kept Monica because she was so cutsie. I'm beginning to like Erik and Dave...would love to see them go on...and Russel S...love him..but I think they will get rid of him, since they didn't go along with his idea of getting Monica out. The ones I would love to see: Russel H. Ashley Erik Dave Who do I think will be there: Erik Dave Ashley Nick I think they will keep Russel H. for the challenges, but I think they will get rid of him towards the end, because he is such a threat. And poor Jaison, he'll allow himself to be put out of his misery. His time will be short, unless they keep winning more challenges

I have the new discussion for week 5. But to comment on last weeks disccussion I would have to say that you have a good feel for dave and erik. I think that can pull off a final 4. The hard part will be getting Russell H out even after the merge. My picks have changed, as you will see in the week 5 discussion, over to Galu. Which makes sense.

Oh, I so much wish that Russell doesn't make it to the final four. There is obviously something about him that a lot of people don't like as viewers of the show but that same something is what the other players of the game aren't able to see. He makes me sick. I did very much enjoy this weeks episode of Survivor though because it was the first time that we were really able to get to know the Galu tribe. Up until now, one would have thought that there was only one tribe and that the others were there simply to take away their steam. As far as the top four that you've mentioned, as of last week I think you are very much on track, but like you I certainly hope that Jaison will be able to come back around because I really like him too.

I too can do without Russell and His attitude, but He does not seem to show himself too much to the players, just teh viewers. Let's see if he will be able to keep up the facade. Jaison needs to get his head back in the game or he will loose it. I still respect him, but if he keeps complaining he will soon loose that. (Not that it matters to him whether I respect him or not) I would rather watch a snake devour its prey than someone who wimps out and can't handle the game. Hello...You are in the middle of no where with no food or shelter. It sgoing to be cold and make you hungry. You should have known that upfront.
