When you answer to a discussion, or when you start a discussion, you think before for who you answer or for who you start a discussion? I mean, your target are young peoples, mature, or you started a discussion for all who are active in mylot? Do you think that age is a problem? Can somebody who is very young don t understand problems about life? Somebody over 50 can t talk about love? A student can t understand problems about your work place...or somebody old can t remember how he was when was in love? Usual you respect peoples because they are mature or just because they are understanding, smart, with a life experience?

Well I do resent the over 50 crowd can't talk about love, at what age do the experience or desire end??? For me age isn't important except for friends request, I find I don't have much in common with the young people here in some areas such as music! LOL! I don't even know any of the artists they speak of now a days! So generally they don't stay on my list of friends for very long! tdemex

I don't think age is important here. We all are adults and that is it. I don't bother about the ages of mylotters, I only watch their discussions.

Well, I'm always supposed that the mylotters here are old enough (as predicted in the term of use), so I don't care much about the lower bound of age. However, if the interlocutor is an old person, I'll give him some respect if he deserves.

I also don't care about the age or the "target", both on asking and answering questions. I must say I'm most active in answering, and it's usually the topic that attracts me, without thinking whu did post it. It's also nice to gather a lot of different points of view, from different age spans. Don't you agree?

I don't really pay attention to age. It is not something that I really even consider. I think most of my discussions that I post span the ages. I haven't really posted a whole lot of thought provoking discussions (maybe a mistake on my part) What I normally post are discussions asking for new movies to watch or books to read, recipes to try. That type of thing, and it works for me. And those types of questions, age doesn't really play a major role.

I do not think age matters her at mylot. I do not to see how old the person was that started the discussion is. I choose discussions that interest me and answer them to the best of my abilities.

Age has never been important to me and frankly speaking, who knows if the age put on the profile is true or not! So its something nobody should ideally be bothered about. While responding, I look only for discussions that excite me and to which I feel that I can add something. Since responding to a discussion is my own prerogative, I don’t think the person who starts the discussion should have much say in the age factor…once you start a discussion, its open for everybody to respond to. Age should not matter here.

Usually I prefer 'experienced' people but in the end it's the quality of post that matters. Sometimes young ones give way more thoughtful answer while others just give off the shot remarks... All the same I try to target the whole community, because that increases my chance of getting the answer!

Discussions are about ideas and anybody can talk about ideas. Older people might have a bit more experience and I doubt very much a person over fifty doesn't know about love. I'm 58 and know a great deal about love and that with only a few misconceptions. A very much younger person might be more in touch with trends but that doesn't mean they don't have valid opinions or ideas.

In term of age issue in Mylot,I have an assumption. I assume everyone who log in Mylot are matured enough to read and respond to any of the discussions being posted here. I am sure Mylot's members are people who want to share and listen to other's stories. Thus, I don't think age is a problem in Mylot.

Well to tell the truth I have never really considered targetting a specific age group ,I like to think of my discussions as geared towards all.In fact I rarely even look at others age even when I am on their profile. As a matter of fact some of my best friends here on mylot are over fifty and I really enjoy tehir company very much

I dont think there is an age limit for mylot. If you have an idea about the posted discussion so maybe you can response but if not you can look for a discussion that you can relate.

Age is not a concern of mine when I start a discussion. I want people's opinions and if what they say sounds good to me, then I don't care how old they are. Many people may be wise even though they are still young. There is no way to screen for age on mylot, so when you post a discussion you allow anyone to answer your question. You could possibly be selective in the topics you discuss if you wanted to screen for age. For example, if you wanted to gain advice from the elderly, then you would ask only those questions that the elderly would know and be interested in answering.

I don't think age is a problem. Every one has his own life and experiences, no matter how old or young we are. We can learn imperturbation from the olderly, learn passion from the younger. So, i never looking the age of the sponsor when i do my response.

I can honestly say that I have never paid a great deal of attention to other MyLotter’s ages unless it is part of the discussion. It is one of the things I love about this place, there are no differences between us; we are all free to express out thoughts, opinions and feelings regardless of age or where we come from.

Age is important just in our ID papers, soul can be always young, or can be all life old, even is a young person...so, is a matter of mentality, not about our age from id. Here peoples are free to start and answer all kind of discussions, and why not, if they had a closed life, with a lot of restrictions, here they can talk about things who they can t talk in real, before....so, age is not important

Why should age matter, all we want to do is make discussions or answer discussions out of interest and learning, we are all from different countries so we all learn from each other as well. Age is not a problem.

Age is not an issue but it could also be an important factor to see things in a completely different point of view. As long as the responder is mature enough or is open enough to accept people's input then age would not really be an issue.

Age is nothing but numbers unless it starts to manifest a lot of inconveniences in your part like difficulties with the activities of daily living but even if the bones and flesh are weak, never have an old and dying spirit because that is where happiness follows. Stay young at heart.
