A girl with chest hair? I'd be so self-conscious!

Ok, so the other day I was outside talking th my friend and his girlfriend. She was wearing a v-neck shirt and I noticed that she had some hair on chest. I'm not talking peach fuzz- I mean it was actual chest hair. Like black and long and very noticeable. But it was dark out when I saw, and I like her and didn't want to say anything mean about her so I just kept it to myself and told myself that maybe I had been mistaken or something. But within the next few days two other friends said to me that they noticed it. So it must really be what I thought- she has noticeable, dark chest hair, and evidently wears clothes that show it. So I am just thinking, wouldn't you be embarrassed? You can't not notice that. I mean if I was her I would do something about it! She shaves her legs and underarms like most girls, so I don't know why she wouldn't address her chest hair issue. If I was her I would be so self-conscious of that and I would wax it or something, or at the least I would avoid tank tops and v-necks that would expose it. So what do you think? Do you think it's possible she just doesn't notice it? Or just doesn't care? Is it just me, or would you be really embarrassed to be a girl with a hairy chest?

I, too, would be horribly embarrassed by this! So much so that I don't think I would be able to handle looking at myself in the mirror. I know shaving will cause it to grow back thicker and darker, but I would have to do something. Or stay single and completely covered for my entire life. Perhaps she really doesn't care. Or she has accepted her body as it is and expects everyone else to do the same. Unfortunately, it's not that easy for others to accept those kinds of things. She should at least cover up with the clothes she wears. She is risking alot by showing off her manly hair to the world.

I think it is embarassing I think she never care about what others say. I'm also self conscious about my unwanted hair on my legs so everytime I goes out in our house I need to shave it. I never heard that chest hair can grow to woman too. Why her boyfriend doesn't bother to say it to her girlfriend about the chest hair issue.

Doing anything would be worth a try! Waxing or something? I dunno. Yeah I don't know why he doesn't say anything. Maybe he doesn't want to hurt her feelings.

it's not good seeing chest hair to girls, i think that is discouraging, if i had a chest hair then i would rather shaved it all because it's nasty to look at.

Wow! This is something I am hearing for the very first time. I haven't seen or even heard of any girl with hair on her chest! I do agree that girls take ultimate care to look good and in the process go for hair removal. I don't find a reason as why the lady you saw doesn't remove her chest hair even if she does it with those on armpits and legs, may be she finds it to be cool . On a serious note, she may have some problems that force her to keep those hair unshaved.

If it was me I would shave it. I am sure she know it is there as it is her body. Maybe she likes it and does not care what others think. It would not bother me if another girl has chest hair and does not shave. If you are not sure if she knows about it you could ask her.

Yeah I am very curious but I would be uncomfortable to ask and afraid of hurting her feelings.

I'm thinking I'd be embarrassed enough to at least not show it off. I don't worry about shaving a great deal, because my hair is blond and fine and barely shows anyway. But dark chest hair - that would get my attention.

Just dont do what i did by picturing your friend runing his finger throught locks of her chest hair :x uhg now i gotta wash my mind out.

I have never seen any girl with chest hairs. Maybe it is symptom of a condition like the wolf sisters featured in Discovery channnel. But if I were in this position and I have a means to fix this perhaps I would go on a laser therapy session to permanently remove my unsightly hair, or if I couldn't afford a laser therapy then I think I would wax it or if I find waxing painful and still expensive I would use a depilatory cream. Depilatory creams may not remove all the unsightly hair but alteast it can remove a bulk of it. I mmyself couldn't stand unwanted hairs. I regulary shave my underarms to keep my pits tidy and odor free since in our country it is humid.

Is she receiving some hormones? That's a little bit scary. I think she may be embarrassed already inside.

Hmn.That girl needs an advise of gynecologist for a work up.She has hirsutism.Perhaps, the girl is very busy and it takes a lot of time removing a lot of hair. She should also be advise on the way she dress but perhaps she does not even care.

Well she's not really my friend, but I am good friends with her boyfriend. They haven't even dated all that long, so I don't want to say anything. I would think someone else would? But apparently not.

Perhaps she does not care about the opinions of other people,it is perhaps have become accustomed to,because it is her own body. But as a woman, she should use some clothes to cover shortcomings, after all, most people do not like.

He's a friend of mine- I think he's either oblivious or too nice to say something. I don't think it's what he's into, having seen the other girls he's dated.

ohhhh my God!! Im gonna have nightmares with this. Its so disturbing, darn why did i decided to read it? Well to the topic, I think if you are a good friends with her you should talk to her about her issue in private(it would be so mean to do it in front of other people), as probably there could be some people who laugh at her because of that. If your not so close, well you really can do too much, it really would be weird for her if you that are only an aquaintance began to talk her about that. Well that is just my humble opinion.

Oh dear! I would be completely horrified if I was her...I guess more power to her for having the confidence to not be bothered by it, and that's really great of your friend to not be bothered by his gf's chest hair. I guess he really loves her. My boyfriend would shave it off immediately! I know I would never go out in public with hair there...I don't even think I would be able to look at myself in the mirror. I don't care if shaving makes it longer and thicker, its coming off!

Yeah I would definitely fix it, too. I mean I make sure to always shave my legs and underarms- so I can't imagine how embarrassed I'd be to go out with chest hair.
