prolapsed discs

Since I had radiotherapy for breast cancer 11 years ago I have been plagued with prolapsed discs in my spine I have 3 really bad ones with one near my spinal cord which tends to make my right foot drop but I also have 4 other ones higher up in my back. Now I am seeing a Neurologist as I am getting neurological signs. I keep wondering if it was down to the radiotherapy as I never had a problem with my back before. Anyone have any ideas.
