Last week I attended a telephonic interview with one IT MNC. I am employed at other MNC. From the interview it seemed they were ok with me. Plus I did my best there and could answer most questions. Yet there is no communication from them. They called me over phone to schedule the interview and dropped a mail as well. so I have got their mail ID. I took interview on Wednesday last week. What you think? Should I mail them to let me know about updates of interview or I should just wait to see if they inform me anything at all? I need your response and advice.

Hi Subha, What they told you after the interview? Have they given any time frame to inform about the same? It seems they didn’t say anything. Some employers are saying like, we will inform you or call you etc. If you want to know the result you can call/send a mail to them and ask about the result and I don’t think there is anything wrong in it. If they have given any time for informing then you please wait. Hope you will get the good result. All the best. Happy Deepawali to you.

This is a tough call. You don't want to be to persistant because for some people that is a turn off. At the same time you definately want them to know that you are interested. I say give it a couple more days then give them another call. I don't see how it could hurt at all.

Hi Subha! I think you should wait for a week more before you call them up. In the meantime they might call you up with the good news. It's good that you are following up your case but don't be overbearing. So just stay put for a while. I am sure they will get back soon. Good luck! HAPPY DIWALI

Hi, subha, I think you should not be so worried. wait for a couple a days. of course, if you feel you can't wait any longer. keep doning your own things soomthly. sometimes. if you care more about the things you want. maybe bring a immature attitude for the employers. just an adive. have a good mood !

Guide books will tell you that giving them a call is a "yes" thing. Its another way of Ensuring them that you are really interested for that particular job. Let me put it in example to inspire you. Lets say the company have chosen a handful of applicants after the interview. All seemed qualified for the position. The only thing missing is that who's who to choose. Your name is one of them. You didn't call for any follow-ups but one of your competitor does. Who do you think will be chosen? Another thing thing is that by calling them, you will have the chance to develop more personality, any clarifications and additional informations for them to chose you. I know I've done it in every interview I made when applying for a job. The odds are better that way, than being silent at all.

Wish you all the best and a very happy Diwali! I would suggest that you can wait for them to call you.At least give it a week or so more.I am sure you would hear from them before then.Has any other of your friends too attended the interview and did this person get any intimation?

You might send them a nice email, thanking them for the opportunity to interview with them and telling them you look forward to hearing from them in the near future regarding your potential employment. Good luck! And, keep in mind that you might have been one of the first in a long line of interviewees and that might be the reason for the delay.

I do not see anything wrong with calling them or emailing them to know the status of your interview. It would only show that your are really interested. Some employers do take notice and give credits to those who show interest.
