My favorite holiday is the summer vacation, because it's the longest holiday, and it's convenient to travel as well as many outside activities. Christmas and New year are for family reunion, but my family is not always happy, so I prefer to be with my partner in those days.

Christmas holiday is our longest vacation and I always love Christmas gatherings. I'm sad that your family is not always happy, why?my family too is not really that happy that's why these past years I am not enthusiastic to go back to the province every Christmas and choose to spend alone in the city where I can be myself.

I've always been especially fond of Christmas for a lot of reasons. We always spend Christmas with my extended family whom I don't get to see really often, so that is the main reason that I prefer Christmas over New Year's Day. The other reason that I really like Christmas is that I get to see the joy in the faces of the people I love when they open their gifts. Additionally, I think Christmas is the superior holiday because it is a holiday that is about the entire family while I've always seen New Year's to be more about adults.

Hello! I do agree with you, Christmas is the season where we can see happy people's faces everywhere and gifts bring excitement too, but my favorite part of Christmas is the caroling and playing of Christmas songs in the radio, I loved it because it bring warm memories back from my childhood, it's always good reminiscing past back when life was still young and no complication, I really loved those days and Christmas always remind me to go back to my childhood again.

Christmas or New Year, both are nothing exciting for me really. Although I treat these as important, I don't really look forward or get excited when they're almost here. Until recently. I think because every year, even if I'm not at home, I am always with some family or friends that I take it for granted. It's just like another day spent with people close to me. Last year however, I was alone. Yes, I spent Christmas and New Year alone in my tiny studio apartment, with only a book to accompany me. It was the worst Christmas and New Year of my life. I just arrived here for about 2 weeks and I couldn't afford to go back home, so I spent the holidays alone. It was very bad. I didn't have computer at home yet, no tv, no radio, nothing. I didn't want to go to my colleague's house as well because they were with their families and I didn't want to intervene. After that time, I have totally changed the way I think and realized that holidays such as these are indeed really special.. That was long.. Sorry! So anyway, to answer your question, I think I prefer Christmas..

Hello!it's okay, we have different views about holidays.hehehe. For the past holiday seasons too I became disinterested to go home because of some personal matters with my family. I choose to stay in my boarding house in the city I worked with and spent time with some of my friends and go shopping.

I like Christmas!Because we are complete as a family every Christmas day and I have more gifts in Christmas than that of my birthday. And the ambiance and the atmosphere during this season is really magical. So i like it so much!

Hi Hello!that's great. Back in our province, Christmas is more popular and more joyous celebration than New year, but of course we still celebrate New year in a more wonderful way. Good luck to all of us!

I love Christmas and spend a lot of time, money and effort to make it special for my family. It's kind of difficult because I live in Japan but I manage. My youngest is 7 and looks at the calender almost everyday to see how close we are to Christmas.

Thank you. Yes, Christmas is my happiest season of the year too, there's always a warm feeling of looking forward to a joyous gathering of friends and relatives. When I was still a child in the province I used to go out with friends at Christmas eve and go around the neighborhood caroling.
