That number increases each time you: - start a new discussion (if it receives 2 responses or 1 response + 1 comment) - the first time you respond on a discussion started by others - the first time you comment to a response on a discusion by others. When you make further comments on those or your own discussions it will not increase but you will still earnings as earnings are not realated to that number.

Great! We learn something new each day. And madugulagopi, we are almost rubbing elbows with our numbers. I am tempted to say Let's race! but I am such a slowpoke I know I wouldn't win. Just a thought. And mysdianait, thanks, I know you are just always there ready to help. Wow! You have a huge number there!

I think you are referring to the number in the (). It is the number of discussions you have responded. The number will be increased by 1 when you respond to a discussion. If your response is very long then the number increases by 2 also. The increase in number depends on the length of your response

Me too! Please read below for a correct interpretation of that number. The length of a response does NOT influence that number in any way at all. Where did that information come from?

The number besides your avatar, is the number of posts you have done whether it be starting discussions, posting responses, or commenting. It will go up every time you respond to another users discussions, but if you comment back to that same discussion, the count will remain the same, but you still earn for it, providing that you post quality. You need to post more than just a few words or one lines, to make anything at all, as that is what mylot uses to figure our earnings. You can post a bunch of posts, but if they aren't quality, you won't get paid for them, and all your time is wasted for nothing. I know it is easier to just post a few words or one liners, but if you want to earn, then you need to make them as long as you can. The longer they are, the more you earn. The higher your rank, the more you earn too. Just keep posting and your count will go up. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

This is a very insightful explanation. Thank you. I hope the new ones could learn from this so that they will have an easier time earning. But may I ask, too, who deliberates on quality?
