I hate getting woke up of a weekend when i have the chance of a lay in.No matter what day of the week it is you can safely say that i will end up getting woken up by the phone or the door going early in the morning.I have tried to go back to bed but could not get off to sleep again. What about you?

I try to go back to bed but usually like you it is the ringing phone or my grand daughter decides to get up before I can get back to bed. It seems that once I am up and I am up for the day. Going back to sleep is out of the question. Happy Mylotting

Well since I live by myself I don't get to worry about all that, but sometimes I do wake up when I am not supposed to and does tick me off.

I feel your burden my friend. My mother is very much the same as like you. We always depend on her. I woke up by a loud sound, but since my mother is there I can simple get back to sleep. Now I realized what my mother is going through. Everytime i read your discussion I always visualize my mother and what she has doing to us. Actually she had given her alland I was striken inside by my conscience. Sad.

Hello jj. If I am waken up, it is not that easy for me to fall asleep again that fast, especially when it is already time to get up. On weekends, I do wish to sleep longer without being bothered for a better rest and sleep.

Yes I will either be awaken by the phone or the doorbell. Once awake there is no going back to sleep for me. That is why I started to sleep with my phone turned off. I would constantly get calls from different "states" at all times of the day, and I have my phone on the "do not call list"

Hee hee. Being a mom of a little one, there is no chance of sleeping in for me!! My hubby goes to work super early in the morning . . . and I want him to sleep in during the weekends because I worry he isn't getting enough sleep during the week. I get decent sleep at night, so I don't mind getting the same amount of sleep during the weekends. My body likes to stay in routine anyway. We have another little one on the way . . . so sleep is going to be different for me (all over again) . . . so we shall see what happens!

I hate this too. I have seen myself, unplug the phone, and switch the bell off, on my door. Problem solved... Selfish, i know, but if i was going to get a call, they will call back, or come back to the house later... I can then, be rest assured, i will not be disturbed...
