I have just started reading the book

i read it all! awesome book, even better if you first read "the hobbit" which is the prequel...it's TOO long but very pregnant and full of adventures!

I have the book aswell, but i never finished it to be honest!! Mainly becuase its too huge, i mean, 1000+ pages, i was a lil bit scared when i saw it xD but you know, it was a present, so i cant throw it over the window! Anyway, i enjoyed the description of the party with all the hobbits enjoying the fest!

The books were great, the only thing I have a problem with is the old English - certain words were used in the book which is considered derogatory and insulting in contemporary society. Plus there's far too many songs and poems in the books, other than that it was written brilliantly, the plot was interesting and the adventurue was better than it was in the movies.
