As long as the team's performance in recente tournaments is concerned, the whole team is responsible for the same. We cannot blame single player for the failure.
However, if we look at Rahul Dravid's performances in the recent matches, he has performed much better than other players and so he deserved better treatment from the selectors. He has been dropped from the side without proper reasons. Although giving a chance to youngsters would be very good idea, no senior player should be dropped inspite of his better performance.
He will be back with a bang....What do you think..? Please share here.

Yeh he hasnt received fair treatment from the cricket board. He did well in South Africa on pitches that provided assistance to bowlers. But now when it comes to the flat pitches in India he is dropped. I dont really know the play that the selectors had in mind when they brought him back. The selectors cant just use him as cover when tournaments are played on bowler friendly pitches.

In my view Rahul Dravid is not dropped because of his performance. Dravid is getting older and too prolong his test career he is rested for few matches. If selectors say that his performance is not good for that reason they have dropped Dravid then they are nuts and blind. In ICC Champions Trophy whole team failed including Sachin against the Pakistanis and next match was no result and then final one won. So, if we count the match against the Pakistanis, team India did not play well and Rahul Dravid was top scorer in that match.
Finally I feel that Rahul Dravid was given rest because presently he is playing the Champions League for Bangalore Royal Challengers. So, may be they are giving him some rest, so, that he can be fresh for the remaining ODI's against the Aussies... Let us take this in postive manner friends.. :)

you are right that a single player cannot be blamed for the team's loss. Rahul dravid was in the squad for champions's trophy because he is an experienced batsmen in bouncy conditions.coming to the series against australia dravid is not needed as there are other young batsmen who can score at a faster rate compared to him.like gavaskar says it's better to retire when everybody asks why instead of why not.
