If you were to become a parent what would you name your child? If it's a boy or a girl would you name them after your parents or great grandparents? Would you give them special names with meanings behind them? Or would you just go to babynames.com to get some ideas?
I have 2 daughters and I gave them cool special names which I kind of wish were given to me by my own parents. lol If i were to become a parent again I would most likely go online for name ideas :) How about you?

I named my baby girl Amber, my toddler son Leo and my teenage son Ryan. I looked on the Internet for girls names and in books for boys names. If I had another girl I might name her Holly. If I had another boy I might name him Nathan. They are names that I like.

When I was younger I had a couple names that I thought I would name my children. But once I got pregnant I guess my feelings changed. For my daughter I picked the first name because I likes it and the nick name that goes with it. Her middle name is after my mother. My first son is named after a man I had respect for and the middle name after my late uncle. My third son is named because I liked the first named and nick name and the middle name is after several people of the same name that I knew from my family. They all have my last name. I was born Vicki but many people think I am a victoria which I would get annoyed with because some people just would not call me Vicki. All my kids have the option of a full proper name or to go my a nick name.

Even though I already have a pretty good idea of what I would have named a child, if I would have had one, I think I would still go online, or go to baby name books and look and see if there are any names that I found interesting. It is also fun to go online and look up the meaning of names.
The two names that I have always liked for a boy are Montgomery and Cameron. I ended up having a cousin who named his son Cameron, so I was very happy for that. Actually, it turned out to be a good name, because he is a very good athlete and is always making the news in sports.
Also, I have nicknamed my computer Montgomery, or Monty for short. LOL and I use it as part of my pen name, or screen name, for web sites that I do travel writing. The full name is MontyTravels.
So, even though I didn't get to have kids, I still get to enjoy both of my favorite names. :)
