As with anything, make sure that you use a good antivirus product on your system. I personally use Norton 360 and I'm pretty pleased with it, it seems to catch everything and I scan my system at least once per week. The other important thing is to make sure that your antivirus product, whichever one you use, is constantly kept up to date. New viruses are coming out all the time and sometimes it's a struggle to keep up with everything. Andrew

Use a good Antivirus.I suggest you kaspersky Internet security and bit defender 2010.These are 2 good antivirus that give you full protection.Dont use screen saver's,unknown setup files.Just delete it.make sure you use kaspersky or bit defender for full protection.

well i am using one antivirus NOD32 by ESSET and it has served me well i must say. it never allowed any kind of spyware on my computer. it has regular updates and the programe is very cool on computer. does not take up a lot of resources so there is no problem of performance froping and also it is highly cutomiseable if you have advanced knowledge. And also if you want you can get SpyDoctor which is also a very good program.

This could be possible with pre-scanning all your digital media like CD/DVD and Flash drives, External memory drives before you use in your system. The best way of scanning is depends on the anti-malware and spyware you use in your system. And A firewall can do this more perfectly by preventing lot of spy virus through your browser.

Try Avira Antivir or Spyware Doctor. They are both good antivirus and antispyware softwares.

]I use Avast Home Edition, and Spybot searh and destroy. Even with all that, I still get spyware, but i do everything I possibly can to kep my computer from getting infected. It is really hard to keep from getting spyware, with the sites I do everyday, as they must be loaded with spyware. I do scans regularly too, to keep my computer running smoothly. Of corse there are times that I do have probems with IE locking up on me, but I think with IE, that is par for the course. I don't have to many problems otherwise, and for that I am thankful. Take care, and happy mylotting.

Installing a reliable anti-virus software is the common way to protect your computer from the threat of spyware. Everyday, when opening your computer, remember to update your anti-virus software timely to make sure the anti-virus software can work well and protect your PC or laptop from spyware. At the same time, having a good habit of browsing is the best way to protece your computer. Never view unhealthy information, don't try to open the spam E-mails, remember to back up your data everyday. If you can do as I have said above, your computer will be very safe. Good luck!
