For me being a blood donor is a big deal, it does'nt mean that i dont have to give but Im asking here if it is healthy for us to give blood? i have a normal BP which is 110/70, is it fine? Many are saying that it is the beginning of slowing or below the average level of our stamina, whats your opinion?

Here's some inputs from my article written at Associatedcontent.com (titled:How to Donate Blood?) "From a single blood donation there are 13 components that can be availed. All serves a vital function to others in need. People can donate blood within minimum interval between two donation in 12 weeks because iron stock which is mainly present in the blood has to be restored. Human blood for transfusion is the only form of treatment that cannot be manufactured by factories. It can only come from kindhearted people whom we call modern heroes who care enough to share their blood and spend some of their time in order to save another person's life". Blood donation is one of the noblest act a person can do. And the good thing is that it is safe to donate blood, as I've done it yearly for five years now.

Yes, they offer a card that can be used as your endorsement when someone of your relatives need it, the worst thing is most of the card are actually worthless, some of my friends are owned a red cross card but when they need it, the red cross refused to avail their needs saying that they need to buy for it, my friends feels very disappointed about that..

Yeah, Red Cross are the one's doing it in our company twice a year actually. But I only donate one a year. Another good thing is that they give you a card which will in turn use if you or someone in your family needed it in the future. I know I have used it several times already, including my neighbors who needed a blood transfusion. If you have the card, Red Cross will prioritize you in giving free blood. Very nice thing to do really are blood types or variants are often hard to find.

shellback when you go to a hospital to donate blood first they ask a lot of health questions, and if you have any health problems that would be made worse by donating blood they will not accept you as a donor at all.people are thoroughly screened before being allowed to give blood.your blood pressure is very good.normal in fact. it is healthy to give blood if you are already healthy as the body replenishes your supply pretty fast.

Donating blood is a very good thing we as a human can do. There won't be any health issues unless you are not healthy. If you are healthy & give blood that's only as per the limitations, it's not only that it's not going to harm you in any ways, you will be also doing a very good thing with your life. Happy Lotting

Blood donation is good for health. Even if u don't donate your blood your body replaces the impure blood with pure blood every 3 months. Eligibility criteria for donating blood is as follows HB% - 12.5 (Minimum) Weight - 45 (Minimum) You should be healthy without any fever or cold or any other disease. Your body will create new blood within 21 days of donating blood. Don't worry, if u donate blood it's good for u and u vil be very happy. Regards, V. Prasanth Kumar http://sysusertips.blogspot.com

Yes I've considered the BP and its depends on what you have or the condition of your health, for me I dont ever try to make donation, I rather have to buy for it, even its expensive.

Blood that went out of our body is easily replaced by our body system and it is good for the body on the whole. Donating blood does not lower our stamina, sometimes people who donate feels a little weak seconds after the donation but they recover easily in no time. enjoy life

Lower the condition of stamina remains once the blood flowout, it took a day to recover, feeling weak in seconds cant relieved by relaxing or eating something, its like tooth extraction, the lesser tooth count the high stamina you have.

Considering the fact that you may someday need blood yourself.I think its a great idea. I am not allowed as it takes to long to get there fill from me. I believe in donating blood and organ donation. Why not help where we can? Your BP is perfect they would not allow you to give it were not.

I have no idea if it is healthy or not to donate. I guess since your body does produce more it's not too big of a deal if you are in good health. Though I guess I would wonder how they decided what was the right amount to have a person donate w/o causing them to become ill ect.

Hello my friend shellback JI, As per your profile, you are only 37 yrs. I think, aftyer 60 yrs of age , it is restricted. So you can go ahead, but before bloodis drawn Doctor checks up the healthy conditon of donor and aso sufficient space between two donations. On eshould be careful. One should ot go for making some records for donation. If one's body is unable to sustain the loss, should avoid. May God bless You and have a great time.
