The term suggest that parents should accompany their children while watching TV shows and programs with such rating. Other classifications includes Genral Patronage, Not suitable for persons younger that 15 yrs of age, etc. But I we can see on TV today, almost all TV shows have fewer shows which are classified as General Patronage. Even children shows sometimes rated as Parental Guidance. TV news are Parental Guidance, soap operas are rated PG, noontime shows are rated PG too, some cartoons are rated PG. Parents are not all the times do the complete supervision of these TV shows with rated PG. I'm just afraid that I wouldn't be at my children side explaining to them what does the scene have to do with the show. Have you ever wondered or question yourself, are your kids safe when they watch rated PG without any adult supervision?
