Well I dont believe in heaven or hell first off and secondly even if I did I still wouldnt say that aborting would be a one way ticket to hell..ppl tend to look at abortion in a very black and white sense and that just isnt the way it is....I had an abortion, if in the same position as I was then I'd do it again too...it was the best though unfortunate choice for all the living/already here (meaning myself, my husband and my two then small children) involved due to the circumstances.

The question is, are you feeling guilty and repent on that you have done? If not then, your surely go to hell. But at some point in your life you really regret it and ask for forgiveness, I think He will forgive you. But what if you have a medical condition and you are pregnant. The doctor says you will surely die 100% if you will give birth. Will you not result to abortion? or depend on His Divine intervention?

My faith in god is strong but I can't honestly answer that question that would be one of the greatest test of my faith.

If you abort a child, it is the same as murdering a child in the eyes of God. But God is forgiving and if you are truly sorry for what you did, He will forgive you. Yes, God even forgives that! But you must be sincere. God knows your heart. God bless. ~Spring

I don't think that would be true at all. I think that some people make decisions that they later may not feel good about and that may make them feel like this.

There's no such thing as heaven or hell so no worries there. It's really a case of when you think a 'potential child' becomes a child. I mean, any egg and sperm is a potential child, when they dont get fertilized they die anyway, you wouldn't consider yourself killing a child once in every month you dont get pregnant. Does an unborn child gain all it's human rights on conception when it is just a tiny ball of cells? I think not, as theres no guarantee it will actually be born naturally. The medical profession seems to think a potential child becomes a child when it could potentially survive on its own, currently about 24 weeks. I think they've got it about right. Also morally I think it's kinder not to bring a child into the world if it is unwanted. And there's already too many people on this planet, we can only reduce that number by less people being born or more people dying and i know which one i'd pick.

Hi leahsmom, There are of course those who would tell you that it is true, but we must remember that no one knows the mind of God. There is no need to ever think about such things or we will be always judging others and that we have no business doing. Blessings.
