My new baby

Well, I've been away from mylot for a while. The last time I was here I was about six months pregnant expecting my first child. But now my baby girl is here and she is the most beautiful and precious gift I have ever recieved. She was born July 9th of this year at 8lbs 5oz and 20in...yeah, she was big. She is also the most beautiful baby ever,and she was born with all this black,curly hair,(compliments of her father). The birth was the most traumatic experience of my life. Well, I had to be induced because I had gestational diabetes(major bummer by the way) But after 3 days of labor I didn't dialate but 5cm, so it was decided that I would have a C section and though I was given a epidural, I still felt everything. I felt the cut from right to left, I felt them take her out. It was more than just pressure this was painful, infact I was in enough pain that the nurse gave me a shot to put me under and the next thing I knew I was in the recovery room and my baby was in NICU because her blood suger was too low, but she recovered from that and now 3 months later she's just wonderful it looks like she is trying to turn over and when she smiles, it's so cute because she kinda covers her mouth, but I don't know why maybe it's because she has no teeth, it couldn't be because she's shy could it?

Oh Naylani!!! Congratulations! I am so happy for you! I know words are not enough to express your happiness especially the first time you saw your baby!!! I remember the first the I saw my baby boy too...I was so noisy inside the delivery room, I was shouting telling my OB and other nurses that I want to see my baby ASAP! Then after I saw him, I lose my consciousness. 
It was such a relief seeing your new born baby. All those pains you felt during the long labor time is all worthy.
Yes she is really big! Mine is just 6.7 pounds but I am short I am only 5 feet tall. Well, he is quite big for me, but got him in normal delivery.

Welcome back to wonderful My Lot. It is excellent that you are back here on lovely My Lot. Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl. I am sorry to hear that you suffered from gestational diabetes. I know that condition can make a mother to be high risk and there is a possibility of the difficult labor. The worst thing was the edidural didn't take much of the pain away. Now you have your darling little baby girl hopefully everything is fine.
On 27th June 2009 my baby girl, Amber, was born. She was 8 pounds exactly. She was born on my sofa at home. I got sent to hospital by ambulance because I lost two and a half liters of blood. Amber is a healthy and delightful baby. She is growing fast and has a big appetite.
I hope things are going well for you and your baby girl.

Wow let me get to the good parts first ,congratulation on your new baby and based on what you have described I have no doubts that she is lovely ,all babies are anyway and wow she is big for real.I know that despite the complcations you would od it all over again in a jiffy because that is one of the major reasons we are on this planned to multiply and fill this earth.I think she is covering her mouth because she is positively a girly girl who knows about poise and grace lol.I hope you will have many wondering experiences with your new child and you will tell us here on mylot all about them ...we are her godfathers and godmothers here (hope you dont mind my assuming that role) and wishing both of you all the success in the world

When I was pregnant with my first child, I was glad that everything went so smooth . Until the delivery of my baby too, she was a very cooperate baby! My labor went so smooth and fast less than 4 hours and I gave birth natural to my first baby girl! She is now 3 years old already
Hope you have a pretty good bonding time with your baby and do enjoy every moment you spend with her.

Congratulations on your newborn baby!
I also just had my first baby, he is going to be 8 months old soon. I had emergency C section, as after going through the contraction pain, and trying to push out my baby for 30 minutes, the doctor said it seemed like I should have the C section, even vacuum didn't help. My body frame is too small for my baby, hence I have to choose to have the C section. It was really painful for me, as I have to go through two types of pain, from the natural birth and from the C-section. But when I saw my baby, I almost forgot about the pain, as he's such a lovely baby.
Babies are always the precious gifts for parents, aren't they?

She sounds like she is such a joy to you. I'm a mother to two children myself, my daughter is six years old and my son is three years old. My daughter was a preemie by just a few days and she was lucky to not have to spend time in the NICU. My son, on the other hand was 8lbs, 7oz and 21 inches long. It was quite a difference between the births of the two of them.
I'm sorry to hear that the birth experience was traumatic, but it sounds like the pleasure that she's giving you now makes it all worth it.

Congratulations for having an adorable baby girl! I can feel your happiness of being a new mom, I for one is expecting my first baby anytime this month. I'm so excited though nervousness comes with it, I don't have an idea yet how I will bring him out if it is by normal delivery or by caesarian section. Honestly, I am afraid of both considering the experiences of our co-mylotters shared in this particular discussion. Anyways, I have to bear with it if others can why can't I? My baby is a precious one, heaven sent after five long years. Happy mylotting!

Haha~~Do you know I was born on July 9th 1993?Babies are nice and cute and they always sleep and sleep.Even their crying sounds nice,don't you think so?
