Today my writing score on Helium is 77%. I should have three stars but I don't. I have 53 articles on Helium. I don't have three stars I only have two. Does this happen to you? Of course the way my stars bounce up and down they are probably waiting to see if my percentage goes down tomorrow. LOL

Well after I posted those last articles my score instantly went back up. I haven't posted anything new for several days and now it is on the way down again. I just know if I don't do something before the weekend I'll lose the third star again (sigh). The thing is I just don't have a lot of time right now and I can't really focus in to complete 400 words.

Trust me, they don't even pay them $2 an article. I have been approached here on MyLot by a couple of people looking for writers and they don't even pay that. It takes me so long to write articles, I could never make any money from that. To top it off, they expect a lot of articles each and every day. So obviously there is a bid demand!

That should say "big demand."

Hi Canellita, there are many websites selling PLR articles, I download from one of those. Since I'm not paying for the PLR articles, I can only download those old PLR articles. If I pay for the subscription for monthly PLR articles, I will get the fresh articles. Those webmasters either hire people to write the articles, or buy from websites selling articles. They will pay probably $10 per article, bundle into a set, and sell them as PLR articles to their customers. From the writing style and quality, I bet they hire Indian writers, and probably pay them $2 per article.

I have over 200 articles on Helium, many of which are in the top 25%, I have a writing score of around 65% and not a single writing star. I'm always getting positive feedback from other members, yet nothing changes. I'm earning a respectable monthly income from my articles, and that is the bottom line. I don't worry about the stars any more. I suppose if I leapfrogged a few articles, my score would go up, but I'd rather write new stuff. My highest earning article on Helium, which has earned over $10, is consistently ranked 3 of 3, yet it earns more every month than the rest of them put together. Does anyone understand the Helium star system? It's a mystery to me!

I sincerely don't have a clue as to how it works. I looked on the star rating system and at the percentage they say I am at I should have three stars. Yet only two are glimmering for me. LOL I barely understand the way they pay, much less the writing stars. I only hope the stars go up because I know at the end of the month the amount you earn is based on the number of stars you have. I may have to keep trying.

Sandra I don't think I have seen your helium articles before. How do I get to your helium profile?

I use the same user name on Helium. If you can't get to it that way, I've PM'd a profile link to you.

You fret too much over this stuff! Relax, write for the fun of it, if you put it on Helium good for you. Stop letting their bogus ratings get to you! Heck, your score is better than mine and I have twice the amount of articles. Although my creative writer score rocks.

I'm sure when I get more articles my % will go down. I would like to be able to make some money off of helium so I am trying to figure out how it works. Hopefully, I will get it down so I can make some money for Christmas. I am still doing okay with AC and I am putting most of my free time in concentrating there. LOL It may be paying off. It looks like my pv are going to be over $30 again this month. YEAH. I need to do that well with Helium. LOL

Hi Mommaj, I think some wires short-circuit inside your big head. You will either get the third writing star with a writing score of 85% and above or write another 47 articles to bring the total non-creative articles to 100. How come you have so few articles in Helium and have nearly 900 articles in AC? I thought you are going to rewrite some of the older articles and submit to Helium?

I am going to submit them to Helium when I have the time to rewrite them. I wouldn't mind getting some upfront payment for the older articles that I have on AC. I haven't started focusing on re-writing my older articles because I am still making money on AC writing new articles. LOL This month has not been good for me and writing. Honestly, I don't know when I will be able to write articles again. Too much other drama going on. LOL

Where are you getting the PLR articles? Are you just looking at stuff online and rewriting in your own style?
